How To Dismantle Uncommon Or Higher Rarity Items In Dungeonborne

As an avid player of Dungeonborne, I can’t help but be excited about the game’s intricate crafting system and the importance of dismantling uncommon or higher rarity items. This feature adds a layer of depth to the game that keeps me engaged and motivated to explore dungeons and gather resources.

In the game Dungeonborne, there are regular quests available every day, week, and season that reward players handsomely as they progress. Among these weekly tasks is one where players are required to break down Uncommon or superior quality items.

Taking apart outdated equipment is essential for creating customized gear, which usually surpasses the quality of random finds in dungeons. However, the initial equipment a character starts with cannot be dismantled. Thus, your initial objective should be to acquire a few weapons or armor pieces from your inventory, regardless of their class.

How To Dismantle Uncommon Or Higher Rarity Items

At the blacksmith, located on the left side of the top menu under the “Heirloom” option in the camp menu, you can take apart items. The initial screen will be the dismantling interface. To begin, simply click the red hammer button in the center. Once pressed, your cursor transforms into a dismantle tool. By selecting an item with this tool, it will be irreversibly broken down.

You can dismantle buttons based on rarity for easier access, but it’s important to do so one at a time to avoid accidentally discarding items you intended to keep. The inventory will be displayed along the right side of the screen, with the top tab allowing you to dismantle directly from your stash. Gear of uncommon quality is signified by the green color, magic items in blue, and epic ones in purple. Completing the weekly quest only requires dismantling uncommon weapons, so there’s no need to break down higher-value items for this task.

Material Rarities & Crafting Gear

There are four crafting materials that are also classified by rarity:

  • Rough White Iron – Common – Gray
  • Ilmenite Ore – Uncommon – Green
  • Refined Steel Ore – Magic – Blue
  • Star Fragment – Epic – Purple

In simpler terms, each material is acquired by breaking down equipment of the same rarity, except for the basic gear your character starts with. When creating Heirlooms in “Dungeonborne,” players have two choices for resources. The first alternative requires resources identical to the rarity of the desired gear piece, but it takes several to complete the crafting process.

If you decide against using high-quality material and opt for a lower option instead to craft a superior item, expect to pay more than twice the original cost. This might be an attractive proposition for players eager to acquire items of higher rarity, but keep in mind that the expense is substantial for gear that can be easily discarded. If you do invest heavily in gear, playing with friends increases your chances of survival.
