Crimson Desert features ancient ruins hidden across the world of Pywel. These ruins hold useful resources and knowledge to help you advance, but they can be challenging to access.
These ancient ruins are guarded by tricky puzzles. Solving them will test your skills, require you to move things around, and sometimes even send you exploring different areas of the map for hints.
This guide will walk you through finding the ruins in Five-Finger Mountain Valley and explain how to solve the puzzle there.
Five-Finger Mountain Valley Ruins Location
You’ll find the remains of the Five-Finger Mountain Valley to the west of Silver Wolf Mountain (pictured above). On your map, they’re simply marked as ancient ruins.
How to Solve the Puzzle
You’ll find a large statue here holding an axe with two blades, a sword, and a shield. The statue is in front of three large doors, which are pointed out by the arrows in the image.
Each door has a picture of a weapon. To solve the puzzle, you need to find the doors that show the same weapons the statue is holding.
Heavy stone blocks across the gorge are keeping the doors closed. To open them, push against the blocks and walk forward – this will briefly lift the doors, as shown in the image.
With the door open, quickly jump onto the block and shoot the image to start the cylinder spinning. Keep shooting until you find the correct match! The stone holding the door open won’t last long, so you need to act fast.
You’ll know you’ve selected the right image when the golden light changes to blue, just like in the example picture.
Keep repeating the steps with each door until all three of them light up blue. The solution to the puzzle in the five-finger mountain valley ruins is:
- Left door: Double-sided axe
- Middle door: Sword
- Right door: Shield
Claim Your Rewards
Once you’ve correctly connected all three images, the statue’s weapons will light up blue, triggering a mechanism that lowers the statue into the ground and reveals a hidden abyss cresset behind it.
Discovering this location will give you a quick way to travel the map, and you’ll also get a special item that lets you learn new abilities and improve your character’s strengths.
