Beloth, the Darksworn is a challenging boss located in the Hoenmark Ruins. Surprisingly, you can encounter him at almost any level, even though he’s generally considered an endgame opponent. He’s powerful enough to defeat most players in a single hit unless they’re wearing specific protective armor.
To have any chance of defeating Beloth, you absolutely need the Kuku Cold-Resistant Armor and the Frostcursed Plate Cloak – without them, you’ll be defeated instantly. We’ll show you how to obtain these armor pieces and use them to easily defeat Beloth.
Beloth can defeat you with a single attack unless you have the Kuku Cold-Resistant Armor and the Frostcursed Plate Cloak. We’ll tell you how to obtain these items before explaining the strategy for defeating Beloth.
How to Get the Kuku Cold-Resistant Armor in Crimson Desert
Here’s how to make the Kuku Cold-Resistant Armor, with a detailed guide to finding each material you’ll need.
| Materials | How to Get |
|---|---|
| Enhanced Kuku Pot x1 | Crafted for x1 Abyss Cell and x1 Kuku Pot. |
| Frostcursed Plate Armor x1 | Found in the Mistshard Cave, in the far north region of Demeniss. |
| Power Core – Crown of Shadows x1 | Obtained from Abyss Creatures and Sealed in the Kuku Pot. |
| Core of Exaltation x1 | Obtained from the Sanctum of Exaltation Riddle and Sealed in the Kuku Pot. |
How to Get the Frostcursed Plate Armor
- The Frostcursed Plate Armor is located inside Mistshard Cave, in the far north region of Demeniss.
- Once you’re at the waterfall, you just need to use Stab (R1+Triangle) to enter, where you’ll be within a cave that has a Treasure Chest containing the armor you need for this recipe.
How to Make the Enhanced Kuku Pot
You can create it using a Kuku Pot – made with 5 Iron Ore and 5 Timber – along with an Abyss Cell, which you get from the Kuku Shop vendor we talked about earlier.
How to Get the Power Core – Crown of Shadows
You get the Crown of Shadows Power Core as a random drop from Abyss enemies, such as the large stone worms. If you don’t get the one you need, try saving your game and reloading – we’ve found a way to increase the chances of it appearing.
- Head southwest of Hernand to the map marker linked above, which will take you to a snowy mountain in Everfrost.
- There’s an owl statue here that you can smash open with Force Palm (R3), and it will drop a random Power Core, which can be placed into the Kuku Pot with Axiom Force (L3) + Seal (Triangle).
- If it’s not the Crown of Shadows, then reload your save and try again.
How to Get the Core of Exaltation
- You can find the Core of Exaltation at the Sanctum of Exaltation, after cleansing the sanctum (which we have a guide on here).
- Once the Sanctum is cleansed, look north at the blue dial on the sanctum device and use Blinding Flash (R1+L1+L1) to hit the blue crystal in the center.
- You need to hit the crystal, so it rotates counter-clockwise, but stop using Blinding Flash every time it hits stone, and only hit Blinding Flash as the dial goes to a crystal.
- Complete a full rotation, and the Core of Exaltation will drop from the top, which can be grabbed with Axiom Force and Sealed into the Kuku Pot.
Now that you’ve collected all four materials, go to Grimnir at the Kuku Shop in Hernand (you can find it marked on the first image in the guide). He can craft the Kuku Cold-Resistant Armor for you. Although it can’t be equipped with Abyss Gears, it offers plenty of defense and fully protects against ice damage with Ice Resistance Level 10.
How to Get the Frostcursed Plate Cloak in Crimson Desert
Okay, so the Kuku Armor recipe doesn’t actually include this cloak, but trust me, you absolutely need it if you want to survive those crazy blizzards. It’s a total game-changer!
- Head to the Sanctum of Expiation, where you’ll find a stone doorway covered in vines.
- Use Blinding Flash to burn through the vines, where you can enter inside and take two rights to find a Treasure Chest.
Make sure you have plenty of Palmar Pills and healing items before you fight Beloth. He can take a lot of damage, so you’ll need to consistently restore your health and spirit to gradually defeat him, even though a single attack won’t be fatal.
How to Beat Beloth, the Darksworn in Crimson Desert
- Use Imbue Flame attacks like Flame Strike and those acquired from Abyss Gears to build massive Stun against Beloth.
- Use Turning Slash (R1+R2) to build Stun and damage, while also being immune to Beloth’s attacks during the animation.
- When Beloth’s Stun Meter is full, use R1+R2 to activate a Finisher, which won’t deal immense damage, but will help you slowly kill him.
- These two attacks should be your only strategy against Beloth, as although it might take a few minutes, there’s nothing more effective at building his Stun Meter and dealing damage consistently.
- Beloth’s attacks can be parried, but to make it safer, you should only attempt to parry when recovering Spirit with Focus (L3+R3). That way, you’ll recover more Spirit for your attack pattern and gain a counterattack window.
- Most of Beloth’s attacks are easily avoided by rolling left or right, or by using Turning Slash to stun him and gain brief invulnerability during your own attack.
