Milotic is a Pokémon introduced in the Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC. It’s a strong, Water-type Pokémon known for its special attack power and high defense. If you want to add Milotic to your team, you’ll need to learn how to evolve its pre-evolution, Feebas.
In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, evolving Feebas into Milotic isn’t automatic – you’ll need to fulfill certain requirements. This guide explains how to trigger the evolution and also tells you where to locate a Feebas if you haven’t found one yet.
How to Evolve Feebas into Milotic in Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension
Feebas Evolution Method
In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, evolves into when traded while it’s holding a Prism Scale. As with other Pokemon that evolve through trading in the game, players will need to trade with others locally or find trading partners online.
To evolve a Feebas into a Milotic through trading, use the code 0048 0048. This code corresponds to Feebas’s Pokedex number. When you trade a Feebas holding a Prism Scale using this code, both you and the other player will receive a Feebas with a Prism Scale, which can then be evolved into a Milotic, effectively allowing both of you to get one.
How to Get Prism Scale in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
There are two ways to get a Prism Scale in Pokemon Legends: Z-A.
- Side Mission 160: Feebas’ New Friends
- Golden Poke Balls in 5-Star Hyperspace Wild Zones
Side Mission 160: Feebas’ New Friends
You can get a Prism Scale by finishing the side mission “Feebas’ New Friends.” It’s located a bit west of Wild Zone 2. All you need to do is find a Feebas and give it to Soucian, and she’ll give you a Prism Scale as a reward. (See below for information on how to find a Feebas.)
Side Mission 160 becomes available once you finish Hyperspace Lumiose Survey No. 3, which involves catching Mega Tatsugiri. Be aware that Soucian won’t return the Feebas you trade with her, so it’s a good idea to have an extra one if you plan to evolve it into Milotic later.
Golden Poke Balls in 5-Star Hyperspace Wild Zones
When players finish all tasks in a Hyperspace Wild Zone, a special Golden Poke Ball will appear somewhere in the area. This Poke Ball is filled with lots of Hyper Berries and other useful items. If you complete a 5-Star Hyperspace Wild Zone, the Golden Poke Ball has a chance to drop Prism Scales when opened. Using Donuts with the “Item Power: Special” bonus will increase your chances of getting these scales.
There are reports that you might occasionally find a Prism Scale inside regular Poke Balls while exploring 5-Star Hyperspace Wild Zones, but this hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.

Feebas Location
You can find Feebas in 2-Star Hyperspace Wild Zones that feature Water-type Pokemon. To make these zones appear, you’ll need to change the time of day in Lumiose City by resting on a bench, which will reroll the available zones. Then, look for 2-Star zones with the Water-type icon and check the Pokemon portraits inside to see if a Feebas is present.
Okay, so Feebas isn’t actually that rare in the Mega Dimension DLC. Honestly, I don’t think anyone will have too much trouble finding one while they’re playing. Unless you’re seriously unlucky, you’ll probably bump into one pretty quickly!
