Players need to meet specific requirements before they can trigger the evolution, just like with other unique evolutions in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. It’s not something trainers will automatically know how to do.

How to Get Galarian Yamask in Pokemon Legends Z-A

Galarian Yamask Location

In the Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC, you can find Galarian Yamask in 3-Star Ghost-type Hyperspace Wild Zones. These 3-Star Hyperspaces become available throughout the city after you finish Hyperspace Lumiose Survey No. 3 and capture Mega Tatsugiri.

Regular Yamask has red eyes and shows up only in 1-Star Hyperspaces. Galarian Yamask, with its purple eyes, is found exclusively in 3-Star Hyperspaces. The image above shows what Galarian Yamask looks like when it appears in a Hyperspace.

Hyperspace Wild Zones refresh with new Pokémon when the in-game time changes. You can use this to find Galarian Yamask more easily.

How to Evolve Galarian Yamask into Runerigus in Pokemon Legends Z-A

Galarian Yamask Evolution Method

To evolve Galarian Yamask into in PLZA, you’ll need to meet the following two requirements:

  • Have Galarian Yamask take 49 HP (or more) worth of damage without fainting.
  • Stand underneath the Coulant Waterway Bridge, located in the southeastern part of Lumiose City, between and (shown above).

Once both requirements are fulfilled, a new evolution icon will show up next to Galarian Yamask in the pause menu, letting you evolve it into Runerigus.

To quickly lower Galarian Yamask’s HP by 49, give it a Focus Sash and have it battle a powerful Pokémon. As long as the Pokémon’s total HP is over 50, this will reduce Yamask’s HP to just 1, completing the task.
