Okay, so completing the Pokédex is always tough in Pokémon, and it looks like Pokémon Legends: Z-A is keeping up that tradition. Apparently, figuring out how to evolve Sliggoo into Goodra is a real roadblock for a lot of players – it’s seriously slowing people down from finishing the ‘dex!
Pokémon Legends: Z-A features many Pokémon that evolve in unusual ways, not just by leveling up. Sliggoo is particularly interesting because it needs specific natural conditions to evolve.
Having trouble evolving your Sliggoo into Goodra in Pokémon Legends: Z-A? We’ve got the information to help!
How to Evolve Sliggoo Into Goodra in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Sliggoo evolves into Goodra only when two conditions are met: it must be level 50 or higher, and it needs to be raining when it evolves.
Getting Sliggoo to Level 50 is straightforward, but it can take a while – it’s how Pokémon usually evolve. The tricky part is the weather requirement, which means you don’t have complete control over when it will evolve.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A does have ways to influence the weather, but you can’t force it to rain. This means you might have to be patient if you’re trying to trigger a specific evolution that requires rainy conditions.
Can You Catch Goodra in Pokémon Legends: Z-A?
You can catch Goodra directly in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, avoiding the usual evolution process. However, it doesn’t appear in a specific, predictable location, so finding one will take some luck.
So, after you beat the main story, Wild Zone 20 opens up, and that’s where you can find some really tough Pokémon called Alphas. Goodra is one of them! It’s cool because it joins a bunch of other powerful Alphas like Gyarados, Leafeon, Tyranitar, and Lucario – there’s a ton of them to battle.
As a Pokémon fan, I discovered something really cool! If you’re hunting for Alpha Pokémon in Wild Area 20, you’ll find them right under the old Prism Tower. And get this – that’s also where Zygarde hangs out after you beat the main story! Once you’ve defeated Lysandre, Zygarde basically takes over that spot as its permanent home. It’s a really convenient place to find both Alpha Pokémon and Zygarde, honestly!
If Zygarde is present in an area, Alpha Pokémon won’t appear there, preventing Goodra from spawning naturally. Because of this, catching Zygarde should be a high priority.
