Heartopia is a charming game with lots of items to collect, but you quickly run out of space in your bag. Many players find themselves spending more time organizing their inventory than enjoying the game. If you’ve ever been forced to leave a valuable item behind due to a full backpack, you’ll definitely want to know how to expand your storage in Heartopia.
How to Increase Backpack Space in Heartopia
Okay, so if you’re like me and constantly running out of space in Heartopia, you gotta find Ka Ching. She’s at the General Store, usually just outside the main city area. The easiest way to find her is to look for the shop icon on your map – I always head there when my inventory is getting full!
When you chat with Ka Ching and open the General Store, scroll down to find the Backpack Expansion options. These expansions give you more space in your inventory right away. Warehouse expansions, on the other hand, increase how much you can store for the long term.
As a Backpack fan, I’m so excited the first expansion is totally free! After that, you can get more space with additional upgrades, and they cost Wishing Stars. Basically, each upgrade just lets you carry more stuff – it’s awesome!
It’s best to buy backpack and warehouse expansions when they’re discounted. Ka Ching often has sales on these upgrades, with discounts reaching up to 60%. What usually costs 25 stars can become much more affordable during a sale. By waiting for discounts, you can save enough stars to purchase several upgrades instead of just one.
How to Get More Wishing Stars
A simple way to earn more Wishing Stars is by doing Resident Requests. You’ll find these posted daily by characters around town – they usually ask for items or small favors. Completing these requests gives you Wishing Stars and other helpful items, so it’s a good idea to check them every day.
How to Unlock and Use Warehouse Storage
You can start using warehouse storage when you reach DG Member Level 2. Once it’s unlocked, you’ll find it in your house. Open your inventory and choose the warehouse to store items instead of keeping them in your backpack.
This is particularly helpful for storing things like furniture, craft supplies, or decorations you won’t use right away. The more you shop with us as a DG Member, the more storage space you’ll have.
If you have too many items filling up your inventory, selling them is a quick solution. Mr. Albert will trade gold for bugs, crops, and other things you don’t need. Plus, if you enjoy the Bird Watching hobby and have extra cards, you can give up to five to Bailey J each day to earn rewards.
