How To Farm Data Points Easy in StarRupture

In StarRupture, a key feature is called ‘The Rupture’ – a catastrophic event that completely reshapes the game world. This means the entire map is destroyed and rebuilt, creating new resources and posing a serious threat to players who aren’t prepared. It’s what really sets this survival game apart.

The Rupture is a great place to quickly collect a large number of Data Points. After the Rupture event, many minerals and meteorites fall, including a special resource called Ignitium. Ignitium is valuable for crafting and also gives you a lot of Data Points.

You can get 5 Ignitium for 2000 Data Points by watching for two things: an orange glow on the horizon and smoke rising from the ground.

Be careful when collecting Ignitium, as it breaks down quickly and is only available for a short time immediately after a Rupture event. Gather as much as you can, then quickly bring it back to the Analysis Station at your Base to earn a lot of Data Points.

Another way to earn Data Points when the Rupture isn’t active is by exploring the map and defeating Vermin. These spider-like creatures drop biological samples that you can collect and bring to the Analysis Station for more Data Points.

The last way to earn Data Points is the hardest, but also the most rewarding. Players need to find Fallen Drones and the remains of former colonists, then search the abandoned sites of ClayWood Corporation survey teams for Broken Pieces of Technology. These pieces vary in size and quality, and each one is worth between 400 and 2000 Data Points.

Players can earn Data Points by turning in Plant Samples and Meteorite Cores at the Analysis Station, but it’s generally not worth it. These items are much more useful if saved instead of exchanged for a small number of Data Points.

Data Points serve two main purposes: they help you improve your standing with Corporations, unlocking new blueprints at the Corporation Terminal, and they also unlock more blueprints and upgrades for your buildings at the Recipe Station. You can access the Recipe Station once you reach Level 1 with Moon Energy Corporations – this requires 100 Titanium Bars.

Reaching the highest ranks in factions takes a lot of Data Points – thousands, in fact. However, once you start turning in Data Points, you no longer need to bother with Material Commissions at the Orbital Launcher.
