Best Locations to Farm Tick Pods
Tick Pods are only dropped by Ticks, creatures commonly found in abandoned buildings and apartment complexes. A great place to find them is in the Pale Apartments area of the Dam Battlegrounds map. While there aren’t a lot of Ticks there, the area is usually empty of other players, making it a good spot to collect Pods without much fighting.

Tick Pods’ Usage and Value
Image via Embark Studios Tick Pods can be found during challenges in ARC Raiders, but many players collect them to improve their Medical Lab workbench. Reaching the first upgrade level for the Medical Lab requires eight Tick Pods, plus a few Cracked Bioscanners and Durable Cloths.
Enable the ‘Track Resources’ setting after upgrading the Medical Lab. This will give Tick Pods you find on the surface a special icon, making them easier to spot and preventing you from overlooking them.

Tips for Spotting Ticks Faster and Getting More Tick Pods
- Search high-risk (red and yellow) zones: Ticks spawn more often near areas with better loot.
- Check ceilings and corners: Ticks hang out high and can be shot down before they notice you.
