How to Find All Heian Chijiko in Nioh 3

In Nioh 3, as you explore Heian, you’ll see glowing, lantern-like creatures called Chijiko floating in the air. If you interact with them, you can ‘pet’ them, and doing so will reward you with either a Samurai or Ninja Lock, plus Transformed Arts. It’s worth finding and petting all of them!

Once you’ve unlocked more of the map, these collectibles will be marked, though some can still be tricky to locate. There are 9 Chijiko to find in the Heian era of Nioh 3, and this guide details where to find them all.

How to Find All Heian Chijiko in Nioh 3

Kamo Village

  • Recommended Level: 57

Okay, so I headed east from the Path of Koyama Shrine, and eventually hit the Lesser Crucible. Once I took that thing out, I spotted a Chijiko just floating around to my right – pretty cool!

Funaokayama

  • Recommended Level: 59

Go west from Funaokayama and continue on the road. When the road ends and you see a path leading into the bamboo forest on your right, look to your left – you’ll find the Chijiko there.

Sagano

  • Recommended Level: 62

After crossing the Horinji Temple Bridge, you’ll see a ladder to your right. Don’t use it – instead, look straight ahead for the Chijiko. If you can’t get a clear shot from where you are, go down the ladder and try aiming from below.

Starting at the Horiike Pond within Arashiyama Shrine, walk west in the direction of the small house you see. This is where you begin the “In Search of Eternal Youth” story. As you approach the cliff edge, you’ll be able to see the Chijiko in the distance.

Awawa no Tsuji

  • Recommended Level: 66

Go north from the Awawa no Tsuji Shrine. When you reach the steps, turn left and climb the stone blocks to reach the top of the small building. From there, face west and shoot the Chijiko.

Hachijo

  • Recommended Level: 73

Starting at the Suzaku Avenue Shrine (Rajomon), go north and turn left to find a Spirit Vein. This will lead you across to another area. There, you’ll find a building where you can battle one of the masters, but only when the Box’s Guardian myth is active. If you look down behind the building, you’ll be able to spot the Chijiko.

Hachijo

  • Recommended Level: 73

Okay, so I left the Anneibo Temple Shrine and headed east. Then, I made a right turn, and immediately spotted the Chijiko flying right above me – couldn’t miss it!

Hachijo

On the far right side of the area, you can climb onto a partly underwater building and shoot the Chijiko while looking south.

Rokuhara

  • Recommended Level: 77

Starting from the Kamo Riverbank Shrine, walk east into the Rokuhara area and continue towards its northern side. You’ll find a bridge where you can shoot the Chijiko.
