In Nioh 3, the Heian era is a new open-world area where you can explore, find hidden items, complete side quests called myths, or continue the main story. If you enjoy collecting everything, you’ll find only three Scampusses in Heian, but they’re located in the more challenging areas. This guide shows you exactly where to find all three Heian Scampusses in Nioh 3.

How to Find All Heian Scampusses in Nioh 3

Nishiichi

  • Recommended Level: 66

Starting from the Horiike pond at Arashiyama Shrine in Sagano, head south along the path to reach the enemy base. It’s important to clear this base now, as it contains a collectible needed to fully complete the game and earn the Platinum trophy. After that, continue east towards Nishiichi. Keep an eye out for mermaids battling bandits near the sunken temple on your left. Defeat the enemies there, and you’ll find the Scampuss just ahead.

Hachijo

  • Recommended Level: 73

East of Hachijo, you’ll find the Filthy Flooded Street Shrine. From there, turn left, then quickly right after jumping onto the slightly raised area. The second Scampuss on the Heian map is located near one of the ruined houses.

Rokuhara

  • Recommended Level: 77

To find the Gion Grove Shrine in Rokuhara, travel northeast from wherever you enter the area. Continue east until you see a Scampuss hiding near some tall grass. This particular Scampuss is a Timid one – it will run away if you pet it, but it will vanish instantly and return to its starting spot if it sees you.

To pet a Scampuss, carefully follow it while remaining hidden in the tall grass. Once it begins to hop, you can safely approach and pet it, completing the task for all Scampusses in this period.
