As a seasoned Stardew Valley player with years of farming under my belt, I can’t help but get excited for the annual Egg Festival! This event is one of those delightful moments that bring the town together and test our wits.

In Stardew Valley, the seasonal celebrations provide an enjoyable chance to engage with the townsfolk, and the Egg Festival is certainly not left out. The highlight of this occasion is a thrilling competition where you go up against the villagers in a egg-hunting challenge to amass the maximum number of eggs.

The annual Egg Festival takes place every year on the 13th day of spring, specifically from 9 AM to 2 PM in the town center. Don’t be tardy or you might just miss it!

As soon as the festival kicks off, don’t forget to have a chat with the mayor to initiate the egg hunt, but do take some time to discover the festivities first. Once the egg hunt concludes, head back to your farm at 10 PM.

Winning The Egg Hunt

Have you heard? You can interact with someone in odd-numbered years! To find this person, head eastward past the General Store and the Clinic.

To triumph in this contest, you must collect 9 eggs within 50 seconds. Gathering fewer eggs means someone else will take the victory – no matter how well you know each other, she won’t make an exception for you!

Luckily, your search is confined to an area marked by the local souvenir shop and various town decorations. There are no paths leading north towards the Community Center, eastward across the river, or southwards to the Beach.

If you’re the winner, adds a new Straw Hat to your cosmetics collection.

In the Town Center, the egg search is about to start! To make the most of the time you have, try to avoid eggs located in areas that may cause you to revisit them later. For instance, steer clear of the alley west of Emily & Haley’s House as it might lead you back on your tracks.

  • The most egg-dense area is the south of town, by the Graveyard and the Mayor’s House. Whether an odd or even year, start by heading southeast.
  • Pick up visible eggs near the Stardrop Saloon, then head south along the east side of the Graveyard. Grab the eggs there, then head east along the River toward the Mayor’s House.
  • If there’s still time after getting the eggs along the River and the Mayor’s House, head north past Lewis’s truck. By the time you’ve gathered any remaining eggs by the Trailer or ‘s House, time should be called.

Enjoy watering your own unique farm in your new Straw Hat!

Egg Locations

The location of the eggs alternates between two different patterns, depending on whether it’s an odd or an even year. You’ll be able to see some eggs, but not reach them.

Don’t worry! There are always enough accessible eggs to win the event.
