The latest update to Hytale introduces dinosaurs and the Dino Jungle, a brand-new biome players have been eagerly awaiting. This lost world is filled with hidden secrets, creatures, valuable loot, and a variety of dinosaur species that players can battle (though riding them isn’t available just yet).
If you’re brave enough to take on some tough monsters, here’s a simple guide to finding Dinosaurs and the Dino Biome in Hytale.
How to Find Dinosaur Biome in Hytale
I’ve heard the Dinosaur Biome is really hard to find in Hytale! From what I understand, you need to head to the volcanic biome and keep an eye out for little, yellow circles on your map. Those usually mark volcanoes, and apparently, they’re full of treasure inside! It can be dangerous going down there, though, unless you’re playing in creative mode.
The Dinosaur Biome is an underground area, and it only appears in certain locations. After players cross the lava river and enter the ancient jungle, they’ll discover a completely new ecosystem beneath the surface.
The Dino Biome is much more open and easier to explore than places like underground caves or underwater tunnels. Players will encounter various prehistoric creatures here, including the mighty T-Rex, Triceratops, Velociraptor, soaring Pterodactyls, Archaeopteryx, and even carnivorous Venus Fly Traps.
Right now, these creatures can’t be trained. Players will have to wait for updates to be able to ride them and use their abilities in the game.
Good news! A brand new biome has been added, and it’s packed with the ruins of an ancient civilization. These ruins are great places to set up a base, and you’ll find them in the Dinosaur Biome.
This area has many hidden treasure chests worth searching. They usually contain valuable Thorium or Adamantite items, so be sure to open them whenever you find one.
As a film enthusiast, I’ve been really enjoying exploring this game world, and I’ve come across some interesting finds like the Jungle Log, Pink Blossom Flowers, and Talt Red Rafflesia. Right now, they don’t seem to do anything special – no new recipes or items. But since the game is still being developed, I’m making a point of marking their locations with Portals. That way, when the developers add crafting options for them later, I’ll be able to quickly jump back and gather them easily. It’s all about future-proofing my exploration!
Right now, players can build basic structures with Jungle Logs and the stone found in the Dinosaur Biome. However, these materials can’t be crafted into anything further.
