How to Find Dragonite and Learn Glide in Pokopia

In Pokemon Pokopia, you’ll need to find Dragonite to unlock the Glide ability. However, it’s a bit of a process! While you can build a Waterside Dinghy Habitat to potentially get Dragonite, you won’t be able to create the Habitat or learn Glide until you reach the Sparkling Skylands – the very last area of the game. This means it will take a significant amount of playtime before you can actually get Dragonite and Glide.

How to Find Dragonite and Learn Glide in Pokopia

You can find Dragonite in Pokemon Pokopia by building a Waterside Dinghy Habitat. This habitat requires one canoe, two Duckweed plants, and two water squares. It’s important to build this habitat at a high location, like in the Sparkling Skylands. You won’t be able to get the Glide ability from Dragonite until you reach the Sparkling Skylands and accept a story request from Froakie to find it – this request appears early in the area’s story.

Okay, so if I want to boost Ditto’s Leafage skill, I need to eat a Salad first. Then, to get Duckweed, I just hold down the ZR button while I’m near water. Pretty simple!

We discovered a great spot for building the Waterside Dinghy Habitat in Pokopia – it’s a small pool of water located upstairs near the Pokemon Center in Sparkling Skylands. If you’re having trouble finding Dragonite, try building the habitat there. Dragonite should appear quickly, and once it does, simply talk to it to learn the Glide ability. This ability is really helpful for getting around the floating islands of Sparkling Skylands.

How to Use Glide in Pokopia

In Pokopia, press the R button when you’re in the air to glide. Hold the B button while gliding to speed up. Remember that gliding isn’t true flying – you’ll slowly descend. It’s best for quick trips and isn’t meant for long distances. You can get more distance out of your glide by jumping from a high spot first.

When gliding, holding the B button makes you go faster, but a quick tap will cancel your glide, causing Ditto to fall. If this happens, just press the R button again to start gliding once more.
