Where to Find Gold Ore in Starsand Island
Players looking for gold ore in Starsand Island should start near the exit of the Crystalith Hideout camp. You’ll find gold veins on both sides of the doorway, though they don’t usually stretch very far. This is a decent spot to collect some gold, but you’ll need to visit daily to gather a large amount.
You can find a small deposit of gold ore on a hill located between Mural Valley and Azure Bay. To get there quickly, head away from Mural Valley towards Azure Bay. Look for a ramp on the right side of the wall and climb up to reach the hill.
A log bridge crosses the top of this ramp. Walk over the bridge and turn left to find three tall stones lined up next to each other. You’ll see rocks with gold ore scattered around them near the stones.
You can illuminate the tall rocks by destroying three Gravecrystals nearby. This will reward you with a treasure chest.

What Pickaxes Can Mine for Gold?
In Starsand Island, players need to upgrade their pickaxe to an Impact Hammer to mine gold. The Impact Hammer can break multiple ores at the same time, which makes it much easier to collect gold when it’s found in clusters.
Once you reach the rank of Junior Crafter, you can buy the Impact Hammer recipe from Zerine’s store. You’ll need to craft all the ingredients yourself using a Cutter 2, a Gear Smith, a Furnace 1, and a Worktable 2.
Finishing Zerine’s Junior Crafter Quest and her Crafter Trials is a simple way to improve your equipment and unlock the ability to craft the Impact Hammer.

What is Gold Used For in Starsand Island?
In Starsand Island, gold primarily serves three purposes. The first two are essential, but the third is a quick way to earn money when you have extra.
- Crafting items, including the Golden Slingshot and Cosmic Guildpitcher.
