Vanya, your fishing guide, gives you the Flashing Fish Shadow Quest. As you help her with various tasks, she’ll eventually tell you about the Mermaid Fish Attractor. This special tool lures rare fish to one spot, increasing your chances of catching legendary fish.

This starts the Flashing Fish Shadow Quest. To complete it, you’ll need to share your Fish Attractor with other players and then search for the elusive Flashing Fish Shadow – a mysterious, glowing creature hidden underwater. This quest is different from normal fishing; it requires more than just casting your line and reeling it in.

How to Find the Flashing Fish Shadow in Heartopia

If you want to find the elusive Flashing Fish Shadow, start by visiting the Fishing Village and talking to Bill, the old man with a white beard who’s near the docks. He’ll let you participate in the Sea Fishing Event, where you can choose a boat. Once you’re on board, feel free to invite friends or other players to join the fun!

Once the event starts, throw your Mermaid Fish Attractor into the water. Then, everyone should fish within the area it creates. You’re trying to catch a fish that has a noticeable blue glow.

Pay close attention to the water. You’ll usually see fish as dark shapes or golden outlines. The Flashing Fish Shadow is different – it has a gentle, blue glow that makes it easy to spot.

Here are some tips to boost your chances of finding the Flashing Fish Shadow:

  • Catch fish quickly to refresh spawns.
  • Have everyone fish within the attractor’s radius.
  • The more players involved, the faster the shadow tends to show up.
  • If it doesn’t appear, throw in another Fish Attractor and try again. You can buy them from Vanya.

We found that catching a Rabbit Fish works for this quest, and other players have confirmed it too. While it might be a different fish for you, look for ones that have a faint blue glow.
