How to Get a Bear Mount in Crimson Desert

In Crimson Desert, you can tame wild bears by battling them until they submit. Once tamed, you can ride these bears to attack enemies, liberate camps, and simply enjoy exploring the world from a unique vantage point.

Here’s where you can find bears in the game, and how to befriend them. Just so you know, you can’t currently ride them – that feature isn’t available in the latest update (version 1.00.03).

How to Ride a Bear & Get the Bear Mount in Crimson Desert

  • To ride a bear, you must first find one in the wild.
  • Bears are found all over Pywel, but more commonly in the Hernand woods (south) and the snowy forests in Pailune (north), but never in the Crimson Desert.
  • You can find a guaranteed bear in the Greenfield Highlands at the Grace Estate Abyss Nexus (marked on the map above). This bear will spawn every 24 in-game hours.
  • The bear will be hostile, and you will need to fight it until it becomes weak.
  • After dealing enough damage, it will stop fighting you, and you can hit “Square/X” to ride it.
  • Once you’re on the back of the bear, you can use RT/R2 to make the bear attack enemies.
  • The bear can also jump and sprint on all fours with replenished stamina.
  • You can also use your weapon on the back of the bear.

Once you jump off the bear, it will immediately become hostile, and you will be forced to kill it.

Can You Tame Bears and Keep Them As Mounts in Crimson Desert?

  • Unfortunately, you cannot keep bears as mounts in Crimson Desert (as of Patch 1.00.03)
  • Even if you were to take a bear to the Stable, you are unable to store it there or put a saddle on it.
  • Bears will remain wild and can only be ridden if you manage to make them submit by fighting them.

Currently, you can’t permanently ride bears in Crimson Desert, but Pearl Abyss may change this in the future. We’ll post any updates or announcements about bear mounts here if they become available.
