In ARC Raiders, resources are limited, so failing to successfully complete a run is especially frustrating. You’ll lose any items you collected, and it might also leave you underprepared for your next attempt.
Players have a surprising ally in ARC Raiders: Scrappy the Rooster! This helpful bird is great at finding loot, but you’ll need to train and upgrade him first. To get started, learning how to find a Dog Collar is essential.
How To Get A Dog Collar in ARC Raiders
Dog Collars are most often found in houses and nearby buildings, which can help you locate them. However, they’re considered rare, so you won’t find one every time you play. To improve your chances of finding a Dog Collar, search every shelf and drawer you can find in and around residential areas.
If you want a better chance of finding rare items, consider trying a Night Raid. They’re tougher than regular runs, but you’ll find rare loot more often. Just make sure you have plenty of supplies, shields, and ammo first – it’s a good way to get a Dog Collar.
Dog Collar Locations in ARC Raiders

Since dog collars are household items, players should logically find them while searching buildings marked as residential areas. The starting map, Dam Battlegrounds, doesn’t have any of these areas, but a few specific buildings are known to commonly contain dog collars.
If you need to quickly find a Dog Collar, here’s where you should look and the nearby buildings to check:
Buried City
- Grandioso Apartments (Buried City)
- Santa Maria Houses (Buried City)
- Red Tower (Buried City)
The Blue Gate
- Ruined Homestead
- Raider’s Refuge
- Village
You can also sometimes find Dog Collars in areas where valuable items often appear. We found them several times in the Research & Administration building within the Dam Battlegrounds.
What Is A Dog Collar Used For in ARC Raiders?
In ARC Raiders, Dog Collars are primarily used to improve Scrappy, your helpful companion. Raising Scrappy to level two with a Dog Collar boosts the rewards you get back at base after each mission. Because they’re rare, Dog Collars are also worth a good amount of in-game currency if you choose to sell them, letting you buy items, weapons, and upgrades.
After you’ve found a Dog Collar and successfully left the raid, you can improve Scrappy’s skills by going to the Workshop. Simply select the rooster and choose the ‘Train’ option to use the collar and level him up.
