How to Get a Map in Black Myth: Wukong

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the recent update for Black Myth: Wukong has truly been a game-changer for me. The addition of Journeyer’s Charts has transformed the game from a challenging, albeit occasionally frustrating, adventure into an immersive and rewarding journey.

The latest update (version 1.0.12.16581) for Black Myth: Wukong introduces several new elements, including Boss Refights and Boss Rush Challenges. However, a feature that might be especially useful for completionists is the inclusion of Journeyer’s Charts. These handy items allow the Destined One to view a map of the region they’re currently investigating, with up to six charts to discover across the game.

Gathering all 6 of the latest Journeyer’s Charts in Black Myth: Wukong significantly simplifies exploration and discovering hidden areas that might be easily overlooked. This could be a great moment for new players to dive into the game, or for returning players to replay the game on New Game+ and catch any missed items.

How to Get a Journeyer’s Chart

After stepping foot in a Keeper Shrine within Black Wind Mountain, the game’s initial region, you’ll be granted the Journeyer’s Map for Black Wind Mountain automatically. This map provides a comprehensive layout highlighting all the visited Keeper Shrines. Initially, this first map is complimentary, but further maps will require some Will to acquire.

Every time you move onto a fresh stage in the game, you’ll have to locate a Keeper Shrine first before obtaining the Journeyer Chart for that specific region. After discovering a Keeper’s Shrine, you can purchase it from the shop situated there. The maps for chapters 3 and beyond are particularly useful because the areas become increasingly complex and challenging to traverse as you advance. Chapter 6, in particular, is a vast open area that can be difficult to explore thoroughly, while the winding subterranean regions of Chapter 4 also benefit significantly from these maps.

Each Journeyer’s Map serves as an artistic representation of the region, indicating the location of the Main Character (the Destined One) and any previously visited Keeper Shrines. In total, there are six Maps to acquire throughout the game’s six episodes.
