The ‘A Moment to Breathe’ trophy in Ghost of Yotei is awarded for achieving a perfect score in the Ku-E-Shinok game. This mini-game isn’t available everywhere, so finding it can be tricky, and getting a perfect score can be even harder. Luckily, there’s a simple strategy that makes earning this trophy quite easy as you work towards the platinum. This guide will show you exactly where to locate the Ku-E-Shinok mini-game in Ghost of Yotei, and how to consistently achieve a perfect score to unlock the ‘A Moment to Breathe’ bronze trophy.
Where to Find the Ku-E-Shinok Game in Ghost of Yotei
You can find the Ku-E-Shinok game in the Ainu Hunting Grounds, which is located within the Golden Foothills area of the Yotei Grasslands. This area is in the northwest part of the map, and I’ve added a screenshot above to show you the exact location.
The great thing is that the Yotei Grasslands are where you begin your adventure, meaning as soon as you can freely roam the world, you can go straight there and earn this trophy. It’s a quick and easy achievement to tick off your list right away!

When you get to this spot, talk to the young girl. She’ll ask if you’d like to play a game. Atsu will also mention that this feels familiar. To experience a memory of her playing the game when she was a child, press and hold the touchpad to travel back in time.
How to Get a Ku-E-Shinok Perfect Score in Ghost of Yotei
Ku-E-Shinok is a game where you shoot six arrows, aiming for six different hoops. It sounds straightforward, but some hoops are more challenging to hit than others. Successfully shooting through all of them requires skill!
Of the six hoops available, three of them will be in motion when it’s time to shoot. The first moving hoop is activated by the child positioned on the right side of your screen. They’ll roll it across the floor, so keep an eye out for it as it emerges from behind the log and shoot through it to complete this step easily.
The next hoop will be thrown by the child standing towards the center. He’ll toss it upwards to his (and your) right side. Listen for him to announce he’s going to throw, and then start preparing your shot. When he releases the hoop, wait until it reaches its peak, center your aim on the hoop, and let your arrow fly. If your timing is correct and your arrow is fully charged, you should be able to hit this one without much trouble.

The next moving hoop is sent by the boy on the left. He’ll roll it across the floor, much like the first one. It’s quite simple, actually. Just be patient, aim carefully after he rolls it, and then shoot.
If you’ve collected all three of the moving rings, the last three are very easy. Simply aim directly down the center of the three rings, fully charge your shots, and then release.
If you don’t succeed on your first try as a child, you can talk to the man in the present to attempt it again as often as needed. Also, prioritize hitting the three moving hoops first. You have unlimited time to hit them, but once you’ve thrown them, they won’t reappear. Focus on hitting these while you can, and then remove the three hanging hoops to unlock the trophy.
I’m always trying to get better at the game, so I was super happy to find a guide on how to fully upgrade the Wolf Blade! And if you’re stuck like I was, they also have a walkthrough on how to solve the Reliquary of Courage riddle. Definitely helpful!
