How to Get a Tattoo Removed in The Sims 4

As a gamer, I’ve always admired the way my Sims could show off their unique style with tattoos, but the Businesses and Hobbies expansion pack has taken things to another level! With the Free Paint feature, I can let my imagination run wild and create an endless variety of tattoo designs. Yet, even the most stunning designs can lose their charm—just like me when I’m craving a change after a while.

For those who possess the “Businesses and Hobbies” expansion pack, they’ll enjoy additional methods for tattoo removal. However, it’s still feasible to do so without this expansion pack; let me show you how.

This version aims to maintain a conversational tone while providing clear instructions.

Removing Tattoo Through Create-A-Sim (CAS)

To get rid of a tattoo in the game using Casual, you’ll need to activate the full edit mode first. This is necessary because most in-game features or genetic traits cannot be altered without it. Here’s how you can do it:

1. Navigate to your game settings and find the Customize section.
2. Toggle on the Full Edit Mode option.
3. Now, you should be able to remove the tattoos as needed.

  • Open the cheat console by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C (or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac).
  • Type testingcheats true and press Enter.
  • Then type cas.fulleditmode and press Enter.

Once done, players have the freedom to employ any Mirror for Change Sim interface and traverse towards the Tattoo segment. In this area, they can click on the ‘X’ button to erase all tattoos, or else navigate to the particular body region to modify or eliminate a specific one.

Removing Tattoo Through a Tattoo Table

At present, this approach is only available for those who have purchased the expansion pack labeled “Businesses and Hobbies“. If you possess this add-on, you can easily interact with a Tattoo Table that’s being attended by tapping on it. Under the “Request Tattoo” section, you will find an option for “Tattoo Removal Service“, which costs 280 Simoleons. This service empowers players to decide whether they want to erase all tattoos or just a particular one on their character’s body.

Sims who have reached level 4 in the Tattooing skill can provide tattoo removal services to other Sims. Yet, it’s important to note that this ability isn’t very practical for removing their own tattoos unless they possess or set up a Tattoo Table at home where another Sim can assist. In such situations, Sims would still need to resort to cheats or spend Simoleons on tattoo removal services.
