How to Get All Achievements/Trophies in Soul Reaver 2

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, let me tell you that Soul Reaver 2 is a game that truly stands out from the crowd. The intricate puzzles, the captivating storyline, and the immersive gameplay are all elements that make this title a must-play for any fan of the genre.

In the remastered compilation known as “Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered,” you’ll find “Soul Reaver 2” serving as a continuation of the tale started in “Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.” This collection offers achievements/trophies for both the original game and “Soul Reaver 2.” On PlayStation 5, players can earn a single Platinum Trophy encompassing both titles. However, if you’re playing on PlayStation 4, you’ll receive a separate Platinum Trophy for each individual game.

In some instances, you’ll unlock certain rewards automatically as the game progresses, similar to many other games for a straightforward completionist playthrough. However, there are other rewards where you might need to make extra efforts to acquire them. Specifically, keep an eye on 10 particular trophies that could easily be missed if not properly noted beforehand.

All Soul Reaver 2 Achievement/Trophies

To enhance the experience of trophy hunting or achievement gathering, consider saving your game regularly at different stages. It’s suggested to create a new save each time you enter a new area, allowing you to revisit and collect any missed trophies. Additionally, some trophies may overlap with a speedrun achievement, providing an opportunity to acquire both simultaneously.

In simple terms, this Platinum Trophy is exclusively for those playing the PS4 edition of the game. Unfortunately, it’s not accessible for players on the PS5 platform.

Reaver Convergence

Upgrade the Reaver blade

In my gaming journey with Soul Reaver 2, I won’t be unlocking any rewards through shortcuts or cheat codes like in the previous game. Instead, progressing the story itself will be the key to earning this trophy or achievement. No need for early unlocks of new Reavers or upgrades; it’s all about immersing myself in the narrative and seeing where the journey takes me!

The Corruption of Pillars

Find and confront Kain

Obtaining this award or prize can be easily done by advancing the storyline. In the earlier games of the Legacy of Kain series, encounters between Raziel and Kain were a recurring element.

To acquire this prize or trophy, all you need to do is advance the plot. In the current game, the Fire Reaver plays a significantly larger role in the narrative than it did in the initial installment.

Blade of Vengeance

Avenge Janos’ death

This achievement/trophy will be obtained simply by progressing the story.

On the Outside

Go to the Sarafan Stronghold before visiting Janos

As I wield my newly acquired Air Reaver, I drain the essence from the Air Forge. With a sense of accomplishment, I journey back to the Time Chamber. My next stop: the vast Great Southern Lake, where I’ll uncover the formidable Sarafan Stronghold. This venture will lead me to unlock that coveted achievement.

Drowned Rat 2

Make a human drown in a body of water

Following gaining access to On the Outside or any other instance, players will arrive at the Sarafan Stronghold. Here, they’ll be given numerous chances to push a human character into the water. This action will lead to the unlocking of the corresponding achievement/trophy.

Touch the Devil

Twist Fire Demon’s neck with your bare hands

Players must confront one of the Fire Demon adversaries using only their fists, and they must deliver the decisive strike to defeat it.

Split

Use an axe finisher on a Greater Thrall

Players can discover axes strategically placed on different walls. In some of these rooms, they’ll encounter both Greater Thralls and axes. Using the axe to defeat a Greater Thrall will then activate the next stage.

Keep Your Distance

Kill a fire demon groundling

Fire Demons possess diverse assaults, and among them is an ability to conjure up a groundling. Eliminate one of the summoned groundlings to unlock this accomplishment or trophy.

Inferno

Kill the fire demons within 1 minute at the Pillars during the Sarafan era

As I’ve just picked up the Fire Reaver, brace yourself, fellow gamer! You’ll face a trio of fiery demons ahead. Remember to regularly save your progress. If it takes me over a minute to take down these three fire-breathing beasts, I’ll have to reload that save and give it another go. Good luck, and may the gaming gods be ever in our favor!

Not Without Purpose 2

Glide for 25 seconds without using an updraft

There are several spots where you can earn this award. One of these places is inside the Subterranean Ruins. To reach it, ascend to the highest point and then perform a circular glide descent. Land on the ground in the far north area when you’re done, and the achievement/trophy will automatically appear.

Reaver of Souls

Feed the Reaver 30 times

This will come naturally over the course of the game by slaying enemies with your Wraith Blade. The Wraith Blade will automatically consume souls.

Harvester of Souls

Feed yourself 30 times

Obtaining this award or prize doesn’t have to be forced; it can occur naturally over time. However, if you want to expedite the process, consider transitioning into the Ethereal Dimension and devouring a few souls when entering fresh zones within the game. This can help move things along more swiftly.

Air Lift

Lift an enemy into the air with the Air Reaver

Hit an enemy with the Air Reaver’s projectile attack for the first time.

Aerial Jump

Make a human jump into the air by using your feet in combat

As an unarmed combatant, I’ve got to remember to press the power attack button to pull off some sweet combos – but only if I don’t have a weapon equipped or the Wraith Blade in my hands. Otherwise, I’m just swinging around like any other player.

Scare the Crows!

Frighten all the crows surrounding the Dark Forge balcony

In the game, you’ll come across many crows. Approaching them makes them take flight, vanishing in a puff of green mist. In the marshy region, you’ll stumble upon the entrance to the Dark Forge. To gain access, employ your Ghostly Sword. Nearby this entry, there’s a balcony teeming with crows. If you manage to scare off all six, an achievement/trophy will unlock.

Your Sacrifice Was Rejected

Bring the wrong sacrificial heart to the altar in Air Forge

Advance the narrative to the Aerial Forge, a place requiring the submission of distinctly hued sacrificial hearts. If you offer an inappropriate heart, failure ensues.

Finish Him

Use every type of weapon to finish the enemy

Every time you discover a fresh weapon, employ it to eliminate an adversary. Keep in mind that certain weapons can only be found in particular locations, so make sure to utilize any unfamiliar ones. In case you’ve advanced too deeply within the narrative, you may have to re-start the game.

What Sorcery Is This?!

Kill three sorceresses in a row without being hurt

In the final stages of the game, you’ll encounter multiple witch-like figures who possess magic abilities. To progress, you must eliminate three of these sorceresses while avoiding any harm yourself. If necessary, create a save point beforehand so that you can reload the game to respawn some of them if you find the task too challenging.

Vertical Rush

Complete the Janos’ Aerie’s final interior puzzle within 15 minutes

As a gamer, I’ll grab my gear and head to Janos Audron’s Retreat. Before venturing into this area, remember to save your progress. The main challenge here lies in ascending the interior, which involves strategically using projectiles, taking down enemies, employing shields to unlock doors, and even pouring chalices. Many players should be able to obtain this on their initial playthrough, especially those who successfully navigated the puzzles in the original Soul Reaver. For players who overcame the challenges of Soul Reaver 1, handling whatever Soul Reaver 2 throws at them should feel like a breeze.

Vampire Champion

Complete the game within 6 hours

To complete Soul Reaver 2 successfully within the stipulated time frame, players must strive to finish the game in less than six hours. Typical speedrun durations for this game are approximately 3.5 hours. To monitor your progress and optimize your performance, avoid watching the cutscenes as they contribute to your overall playtime.

Soul Reaver 2 Missable Achievement/Trophies
