Absolum combines the fast-paced action of a beat-em-up with the replayability of a roguelike. You’ll battle waves of enemies, earning upgrades to become more powerful as you explore. Death means starting over from the beginning, losing all your progress, but you can change characters to try a different approach.
When you first start playing Absolum, you’ll be able to choose from two characters. As you progress, you’ll unlock two more. This guide explains how to unlock all characters in Absolum and details their special abilities, called arcanas.
How to Unlock All Characters in Absolum
As you play through *Absolum*, you’ll unlock four different characters, each with unique abilities and magical powers. Experiment with each one as you unlock them – you might find a character that perfectly fits how you like to play! They’re all enjoyable and worth trying out at least once to see which one suits you best.
Here’s a guide to when players unlock each character and the Arcanas available to them. Before starting a run, you can unlock up to seven Arcanas per character by talking to Ederig the Stalwart. We’ll keep this list updated as we unlock more Arcanas by increasing our Radiance Level.
