In Disney Dreamlight Valley, Mementos are special magical items players can discover. You won’t find them in set locations; instead, you’ll earn them by completing quests for different characters. Merlin will give you a quest explaining what Mementos are once you’ve found one. Here’s a guide to finding all the Mementos in the game.
How To Get All Mementos In DDV – Disney Dreamlight Valley
In Disney Dreamlight Valley, players can find and collect five unique Mementos as they unlock new characters and finish friendship quests.
The Secret Journal
After you finish Jasmine’s “Wild Wild Wishes” quest, you’ll receive the Secret Journal. To start this quest, you first need to become good friends with the princess – reach friendship level 10 – and finish all of her earlier quests. You’ll actually find the journal during a quest at friendship level 7, but you won’t get to keep it until you complete the very last quest in the series.
Kaleidoscope
Finish Alice’s last friendship task, “A Very Merry Unbirthday,” and you’ll get the Kaleidoscope – you might remember seeing it in an earlier quest.
Birthday Party Invitation
The Birthday Party Invitation is a new Memento, different from previous ones, and you’ll get it while completing the Beauty and the Beast realm quest. Just finish the “A Guide to Better Castle-Keeping” quest to unlock it.

Increase Cinderella’s friendship level to 10 and complete her last quest, The Friendship Ball.
New Comfort Bear
Bring Joy and Sadness to your Dreamlight Valley. Then, become friends with Sadness and finish her level 10 quest, “Create a Bear.” This unlocks the New Comfort Bear, a large, fluffy furniture item and special Memento for your valley. Remember, you’ll need to complete both Joy and Sadness’s quests before you can craft it – it’s too big to store in a chest!
After you collect a Memento, a story quest will begin. This quest involves simply talking to Merlin, and what he says at the start depends on which Memento you show him. He explains that you, as the Ruler, once sealed away difficult memories within objects to avoid painful experiences. He then asks you to safeguard these Mementos, as they may be important in the future.
