In Nioh 3, Amrita is the key to leveling up your character. Like other challenging action RPGs, you earn it primarily by defeating enemies and using certain items. To quickly gain levels, you’ll need to find areas with tough, but manageable, enemies and repeatedly fight them to farm Amrita.
This guide will show you the best places to farm Amrita early in Nioh 3, and also cover the fundamental ways to quickly earn lots of it throughout the entire game.
Best Way to Farm Amrita in Nioh 3
To quickly earn a lot of Amrita, focus on fighting tough enemies close to Shrines or Bodhisattva Statues. Then, repeatedly defeat them, reset at the checkpoint, and continue the process.
Best Early Game Amrita Farming Spot
Early in the game, the best place to collect Amrita is during the “Escape from Hitokoto Slope” mission, which follows the tutorial. Play through the level until you reach the Shrine before the boss fight. You’ll find a Yoki nearby that you can defeat repeatedly for around 500 Amrita each time. After you’ve farmed the Yoki, finish the mission by defeating the boss to earn even more Amrita and extra weapons to use for crafting and upgrades in Nioh 3.
Okay, so when I’m fighting the Yoki, my top priority is breaking its horn. I can do that with ranged attacks, jump attacks, or basically anything that hits it from above. Once that horn is gone, every hit I land makes it bleed Amrita, which could seriously boost my Amrita gains – I’m talking potentially around 800 Amrita per Yoki I take down!
Hamamatsu Castle Town Farming Spot
In the first area of Nioh 3, the Hamamatsu Castle Town stage features a recurring enemy called the Ippon Datara. This one-eyed, one-legged Yokai drops around 1000 Amrita each time you defeat it, making it a more efficient farming spot than the Yoki in Hitokoto Slope, despite being a slightly tougher opponent.
Even after finishing the first part of the Hamamatsu story, you can continue to fight these enemies. Just visit a Shrine and select their missions again from the Battle Scroll.
Vital Spirit Skill
In the 1572 Warring States map, there’s an enemy base north of the Prospect Hill Shrine that holds the Vital Spirit skill. This skill boosts the Amrita you earn from enemies by 4%, so it’s really helpful for farming Amrita – remember to equip it whenever you’re doing that!
Offer Loot to Shrines
If you have extra items you don’t need, you can turn them into Amrita by offering them at Shrines. Simply approach a Shrine, choose ‘Preparations,’ and then ‘Make an Offering.’ Select the gear you want to offer to receive a good amount of Amrita.
You’ll earn more Amrita when offering a weapon you’ve fully mastered. However, to maximize your Amrita gains from farming enemies, it’s best to first use a new weapon until you’ve completely learned it. Then, offer that fully mastered weapon to receive bonus Amrita.
To make managing items easier in Nioh 3, you can enable the Auto Dispose setting in the game’s Basic Game Settings menu.
