How to Get and Use Leftovers in Once Human

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must admit that the latest update for Once Human, The Way of Winter, has been nothing short of exhilarating. The new crafting materials, like Leftovers, have added a whole new layer of depth to the game that I find incredibly engaging.

As a dedicated gamer, diving back into Once Human after their latest update, The Way of Winter, feels like stepping into a whole new world. The chilly winter landscape brims with fresh content – temperature mechanics, enticing new locations and settlements, and an increased number of deviants to track down.

How To Get Leftovers in Once Human

In the game “Once Human”, leftovers refer to pieces similar to leather remnants. These bits and pieces serve as materials for mending armor, a novelty added exclusively within the “The Way of Winter” scenario.

A more dependable and productive approach for obtaining Leftovers is by creating them at your Supplies Workbench. However, before you can craft Leftovers in “Once Human”, you must first unlock the Leatherworking skill through the Crafting Memetics menu.

After mastering the Leatherworking ability, you’ll be able to create Leftovers by utilizing the assorted Rawhides you gather from skinning different creatures. You can use any animal for this purpose, so go ahead and track down whichever ones you come across, ensuring to always collect their hides.

The amount of Leftovers you get from a hide depends on the animal it came from. For example:

  • One Rawhide will give you two Leftovers.
  • A Wolf Skin will yield three Leftovers.
  • Cowhide, Crocodile Skin, and Bear Skin will give four Leftovers each.

Instead, you can obtain Leftovers by breaking down unwanted armor parts at a Disassembly Station. If you’ve been venturing into Strongholds or locations containing Armor Crates, chances are you’ve amassed an excess of unused equipment that can be dismantled for Leftovers.

How To Use Leftovers in Once Human

In the course of battling numerous monsters and enduring harsh climates, your armor is bound to get worn out or broken. Leftovers, in this context, can be used for mending and restoring damaged armor.

All armor repairs are done on the Gear Workbench, so make sure you have one on your base in Once Human. Open the workbench and navigate to the Repair tab. Next, select the damaged armor pieces and see how many Leftovers you need. Once you have the required Leftovers, simply repair your damaged armor.

In the chilly landscape of The Way of Winter, armor serves as a crucial shield against hazards, including harsh weather. To ensure your armor remains robust during your journeys, it’s wise to keep some durable Leftovers handy for maintaining its integrity.
