How to Get and Use the Storage Room Key in No Rest for the Wicked

In No Rest for the Wicked, you won’t be able to access everything right away. Some doors need someone else to open them, while others, like the one on the western bridge, require you to find certain items before you can continue.

So, I started playing, and pretty quickly I ran into this locked door. It said I needed the Storage Room Key to get through, but finding that key wasn’t just gonna happen – I had to actually go on a little quest to get it!

You won’t have trouble finding the Storage Room Key in No Rest for the Wicked, which will let you access even more valuable items.

Where to Find the Storage Room Key

You’ll need the Storage Room Key to get into the Storage Room in No Rest for the Wicked. You can find this room relatively early in the game, before you get to Sacrament.

Make sure you find this key – the next room contains an extra chest with potentially valuable items. You might find gear to improve with enchantments, or resources to help upgrade your town.

Early in the game, you’ll come across a fort named Mariner’s Keep. It’s located right beside the very first campfire you encounter.

When you enter the fort, turn left and climb the two sets of stairs. This will take you to the outside wall. Clear out any enemies you see along the way – they might bother you if you don’t.

Next to the wall, there’s a wooden platform holding a corpse. You can jump down to reach it. Look for a blue glow – it means there’s an item on the body.

Land on the platform and grab the Storage Room Key. Once you have it, you can return to the front of the fort, or use the ladders to the north to climb back up.

Where to Use the Storage Room Key

Now that you have the Storage Room Key, head back into Mariner’s Keep. Once inside, walk through the main area where you found the stairs to get the key in the first place.

Don’t take the stairs on the left. Instead, continue to the right, and you’ll find the gate that exits Mariner’s Keep.

You’ll find the Storage Room right before the exit gate from the keep. Be careful heading there – there are several enemies, so if you’re new to the game, it’s best to approach cautiously.

The entrance to the Storage Room is located in the tower right before the gate. Inside, you’ll find a single, large chest that often contains valuable items like Research Papers, Embers, powerful weapons, and armor.

This is also a good place to return later in the game to get additional gear and items.
