How to Get Bastion Cells in ARC Raiders (Solo)

In ARC Raiders, Bastions are large and dangerous ARC machines found on the surface. They can quickly defeat players with their powerful machine guns. However, defeating them is necessary to obtain Bastion Cells, a key resource for upgrading your Gear Station to level 3.

Bastions might seem scary, but you can defeat them quickly, even if you’re playing alone. Knowing the right strategy makes the fight much easier. Here’s a guide to help you quickly destroy a Bastion and collect Bastion Cells in ARC Raiders.

How to Find a Bastion in ARC Raiders (Location)

Although you can find Bastions on every map in ARC Raiders, they appear most consistently at Stella Montis and The Blue Gate. If you’re new to fighting Bastions, The Blue Gate is a better place to start than Stella Montis, which sees more player-versus-player combat.

You can consistently find a Bastion either within the Outer Gates area near Checkpoint, or underneath the Headhouse dome.

Best Loadout to Destroy a Bastion in ARC Raiders

Let’s talk about what weapons work best against Bastions before diving into strategy. The Hullcracker is a particularly effective choice for quickly defeating them. You can purchase it from Tian Wen for 30,000 coins, or craft it yourself if you’ve unlocked the blueprint by completing The Major’s Footlocker quest in ARC Raiders.

Make sure you have at least two full stacks of Launcher Ammo for the fight. Having extra can be useful for taking out smaller enemy robots. Besides the Hullcracker, bring plenty of healing supplies and another weapon, just in case you encounter a hostile player.

If players don’t have a Hullcracker for the battle, they can still use an upgraded Ferro to take on a Bastion, but it will take significantly more time to defeat it.

How to Beat a Bastion & Get Bastion Cells

First, find solid cover – ideally a hallway leading outside where the Bastion moves. This will help you avoid its gunfire. Even if you do get hit, you’ll be able to quickly hide and recover, making the battle much easier.

To get the Bastion’s attention, shoot it once. When it approaches, focus your fire on its yellow leg joints – they’re a weak point. If you hit them enough times with Hullcracker rounds, you’ll cripple the Bastion, exposing its red core for attack.

To quickly destroy the Bastion, shoot at its glowing red core from the side. A few well-aimed shots will defeat it, and you can then collect the items dropped from its broken parts.

When exploring Bastion in ARC Raiders, be thorough in your search – each enemy can drop between two and three Bastion Cells. As soon as you find your first Cell, immediately place it in your Safe Pocket. This will automatically collect any additional Cells you find, as you can stack up to three in a single inventory slot.
