How to Get Black River in Diablo 4

To be honest, Necromancer isn’t my top pick for favorite class in Diablo IV, as it’s not. In fact, I dislike its fundamental abilities and usually steer clear of the class. However, that doesn’t prevent me from occasionally diving in to try out a meta build or tackle end-game content with an unconventional scythe like Black River!

What is Black River?

The distinctive weapon known as the Black River functions as a Necromancer’s scythe, inflicting damage and boasting multiple exceptional attributes that can amplify a build by up to ten times.

This special ability, dubbed “Corpse Explosion,” draws power from nearby deceased entities (four in total). The more corpses it absorbs, the wider the blast area becomes and the more damage it inflicts. The magnitude of the damage boost and the expanded impact zone are determined by the drop.

How to Get Black River in Diablo 4

To obtain the Black River, be ready for a lengthy and challenging trek. Regrettably, obtaining this distinctive artifact requires considerable effort.

One effective method for acquiring Black River involves participating in World Events such as Helltide and confronting World Bosses like Ashava the Plague-ridden or Avarice the Gold-cursed.

Keep in mind that Black River won’t become available in the loot pool until either World Tier 3: Nightmare or World Tier 4: Torment. Additionally, as you increase the game’s difficulty, there’s a higher chance of getting a special item as a drop.

Best Necromancer Build for Black River

As an ardent admirer of the game, I can’t help but be thrilled about the exceptional impact that Corpse Explosion has in Diablo 4. To truly maximize this effect and create a build that will make the undead dance to my tune, I’m eagerly planning on crafting a Necromancer Build centered around Corpse Explosion.

In this setup, mobs will detonate the scattered corpses, inflicting extra harm on nearby adversaries. It’s an excellent area-of-effect build that can effortlessly handle large groups of enemies.

If you’re just embarking on your journey within Sanctuary, it could be beneficial for you to familiarize yourself with the multiplayer aspects of the game prior to teaming up with others!
