As a seasoned Duckside enthusiast who’s spent countless hours quacking my way through the game, I can confidently say that navigating the world of blueprints is no easy task for a feather-footed warrior like myself. The first few days are tough, with your only weapons being a wooden club and makeshift bow against the assault rifles of the more experienced players. But fear not, my fellow waterfowl! I’ve learned a thing or two about acquiring those precious blueprints that can turn the tide in our favor.

Upon your initial arrival at the beach in Duckside, you’ll find a handful of basic blueprints at your disposal. These blueprints allow you to create fundamental items such as some crafting materials like twine and early-game weapons like a wooden stick (similar to a club) and an improvised bow. However, these items won’t let you compete head-on with players who are already traversing the map, as they wield assault rifles while you have nothing more than a piece of wood. In Duckside, you can get hold of blueprints through several methods, all requiring feathers or the game’s currency. The Merchant, indicated on your map, is one option, though they may be situated quite a distance away from you. Additionally, strategic spots on the map might feature vending machines that offer a limited selection of blueprints for purchase.

How to Get Blueprints in Duckside

As I explore this virtual world, I’ve stumbled upon some hidden gems that aren’t marked on the map! In the screenshot above, you can see me positioned in the lower right corner of the medium-sized island to the right of the merchant. There’s a towering watchtower here, and if you climb up to its upper level, you’ll find a vending machine that dispenses an average of five unique blueprints at any given moment.

Once that’s taken care of, give some attention to trap items and other equipment, but remember they should not be your main focus!
