In Crimson Desert, you can get Camp Funds in two ways. You can either give them directly to Carl, who manages supplies at the Howling Hill camp, or send Greymanes on missions that offer Camp Funds as a reward. Here’s a breakdown of how it works.
How to Increase Camp Funds in Crimson Desert
As stated beforehand, there are two main ways players can get Camp Funds in Crimson Desert:
- Donate money directly to Carl, the Provisions Keeper in Howling Hill camp.
- Dispatch comrades to “Shield” missions that reward Camp Funds when completed.
How to Donate Camp Funds to Carl in Crimson Desert
- Talk to Carl, the Provisions Keeper, in the Howling Hill camp using the “Manage Provisions” option, and select “Camp Provisions”.
- At the bottom right corner of the screen, you’ll see the hotkey for “Donate Funds,” F (KB/M) or Y/Triangle (Controller).
- Select the desired amount of Camp Funds you want to deposit, and select Confirm to complete the donation.
You can find Carl by looking for the “Provisions Keeper” icon on the map in Howling Hill – you might need to zoom in to see it. If he’s not there, it’s probably because you’re in the middle of a quest related to the Greymanes, or because of how the game works. Try resting at a bed or bonfire – this will reset the locations of characters like Carl, and he should reappear at his usual spot.
How to Dispatch Comrades on Camp Fund “Shield” Missions in Crimson Desert
- Talk to Ross, the Dispatch Coordinator, in the Howling Hill camp using the “Manage Comrades” option, and select “Mission Dispatch.”
- Find a mission with a Shield icon next to it (shown above).
- Use the “Mission Dispatch” hotkey, Spacebar (KB/M) or X/A (Controller).
- Assign the required number of Greymanes to the mission and hit confirm.
The Greymanes will automatically take on these missions, which will give you Camp Funds. Because these missions can be repeated, you can send your comrades on them and continuously earn Camp Funds without actively playing.
Missions received from Mission Dispatch take a specific amount of in-game time to finish, but you can make the process faster by sleeping in a bed or resting at a bonfire.
If Ross isn’t available, you can still send team members on missions directly from the map. Simply open the map, click on “Factions,” and select the shield icon to choose a location (double-click on PC). Then, go to the “Missions” tab and send your team as usual. This feature unlocks after completing the “Bustling Hill” main mission in Chapter 3, which expands your Howling Hill camp.
