What Level to Unlock Punchy

Starting from levels 20 up to and including level 39, you’ll find that two new animals are unlocked with each level. However, it’s important to note that Punchy may not become available as soon as you reach level 20. Continue leveling up until you reach level 39 to ensure he appears in your Contacts list.

After Punchy has been freed, he’ll show up sporadically on your map for a period of three hours. To bring him forth instantly, you’ll need to utilize a Summoning Charm instead.

  1. Select the white circle icon above your planner on the menu and choose Contacts.
  2. Select the Cat tab to pull up every cat animal you currently have.
  3. Find Punchy and select Call. He will appear at his respective destination for 3 hours.

At a friendship level of 5 with Punchy, you are welcome to extend an invitation to your campground. Additionally, you will require the skill to construct these specific pieces of furniture.

How to Level Up Punchy Quickly

Once Punchy joins your camp, raising his friendship level to 15 becomes necessary. This action will grant you access to his Special Request, an essential step towards building the Cat Tower.

So as long as Punchy stays at your campsite and you help him with any tasks he might assign, you’ll quickly level him up. When conversing with Punchy, feel free to select any dialogue options in red. While he’s at your place, he may ask you for a specific collectible item or if you can adjust his clothing.

Should you designate Punchy as your Campsite Manager, he’ll accumulate 5 to 15 Friendship points daily. As a Campsite Manager, they collect items for you and bestow presents. With each completed task, you’ll garner some experience points.

To help Punchy advance quickly, provide him with some treats. These treats can be obtained from Gulliver’s Ship, but the specific type you receive may vary depending on the island. If you’re not getting the desired treat, simply click the refresh icon located in the upper-right corner of the screen on the Gulliver’s Ship page.

Punchy’s type is Natural, so you’ll get more points if you gift him any of these three:

  • Plain Waffle (3 points)
  • Tasty Waffle (9 points)
  • Gourmet Waffle (18 points)

Additionally, you could reward him with either Bronze, Silver, or Gold Rewards. These Rewards fall under the category of ‘generic’, implying they’ll grant the same amount of friendship points to every animal. The Bronze Reward grants 3 points, the Silver Reward awards 10 points, and the Gold Reward bestows 25 points.

10 Golden Treats is enough to bring an animal’s level from 1 to 15.

After you’ve agreed to Punchy’s Special Task, feel free to build the Cat Tower whenever suits you best. As it’s a Special Request item, it’ll take close to an entire day to craft. You’ll require 9800 Bells and a total of 23 hours to finish. To proceed with the construction, you’ll need these materials:
