How To Get Charon’s Loyalty Card In Hades

As a seasoned adventurer who’s danced with the Furies, outwitted Thanatos, and even shared a hearty laugh with Persephone, I can confidently say that the Loyalty Card in Hades is a treasure not to be underestimated. It’s not every day you get a chance to borrow from Charon himself!

Hades is often lauded as one of the top choices in the roguelike genre, with its rapid-fire action, captivating storyline, and adaptive advancement system being key factors for this acclaim. As players invoke the Pacts of Punishment, they’ll find themselves facing progressively tougher challenges that truly test their gaming abilities.

In the game Hades, the **Loyalty Card** stands out as a distinctive artifact that players can get fairly early on. Unlike common items such as Diamonds or Ambrosia, this one isn’t farmable through typical methods like defeating bosses or completing bounties. Instead, it’s connected to a clandestine encounter with a special boss in Hades, making the acquisition process more intriguing and adventurous. For those who might be uncertain about where to start, here’s some guidance on **how to obtain the Loyalty Card in Hades** and information about the boss who drops it.

How To Get A Loyalty Card In Hades

In your attempt to flee from Hades, it’s crucial that you locate and gain access to Charon’s room. Normally, you can find Charon’s room right before the boss fight in each zone. But for the Loyalty Card event, you’ll have to meet Charon earlier within the region instead of activating his chamber before the boss encounter.

Occasionally, when you step into Charon’s room, there’s a chance you’ll see a sack of coins next to him. Interacting with this sack will give you the option to “Borrow” the coins. Making this choice initiates an exclusive encounter, transporting you to Erebus for a tough fight against Charon, the Stygian Boatman, in a demanding battle.

Charon Boss Overview

Using his oar as a formidable weapon, Charon, resembling the Stygian Boatman, launches powerful melee strikes and casts potent spells. His arsenal includes summoning barrages of projectiles and crafting treacherous whirlpools.

During the battle, make sure to keep an eye on the purple skulls that pop up from both sides of the arena, all the while keeping a good distance to dodge the boss’s attack swings.

Even though your boss doesn’t typically show aggressive behavior, they occasionally become unapproachable, so consider this pattern when deploying Chthonic Companions appropriately.

As I brought Charon’s health down to roughly 15%, he generously bestowed upon me his Loyalty Card. This fantastic trinket offers a sweet 20% discount on every single purchase from Charon’s store, but remember, this perk is only valid for your current escape attempt. Adding the Loyalty Card to my collection also earned me the “To Charon’s Credit” Trophy/Achievement.
