As a gamer immersed in the captivating world of Hollow Knight: Silksong, I’ve found an amazing tool called Cogfly. With this nifty device, I can call upon tiny flying companions – these little guys are a lifesaver during battles, especially against those pesky enemies that love to zip around like they own the place. But it’s not just in combat where they shine; they’re also incredibly useful during certain quests. For instance, in the Great Taste of Pharloom mission, where I needed to deliver the Courier’s Rasher on time without taking a single hit, these fly pals were my secret weapon!
How To Get The Cogfly (Tool) In Silksong
In the game Silksong, you can discover Cogfly by venturing into the High Halls. To get there, aim for the upper western corner of the Choral Chambers first. Follow the path that leads to learning the Conductor’s Melody as a reference. If you’re already familiar with this route, veer left before gliding down towards the station and bench. Otherwise, journey to the Grand Bellway, then make your way to the Cogwork Dancers boss room as a starting point. To explore the High Halls effectively, you’ll need these essential skills:
- Clawline (Harpoon Hook)
- Faydown Cloak (Double Jump)

Starting from the manager’s office, take a left and continue walking in that direction until you spot a bench. Jump twice to reach the bench, then use it as a launch pad to shoot your harpoon at the hanging rings. This will help you gain altitude. Repeat this process using all the available rings to ascend to the top. After that, move right to enter a spacious room with water flowing horizontally and multiple platforms. As Hornet is now in the High Halls, navigate through this area by jumping on the platforms and grabbing onto the rings as needed to progress to the next chamber.

To ascend, gaze upward to spot a massive rotating wheel. Attach yourself to one of its circular segments using some device akin to a harpoon, propelling yourself upwards. Repeat this action on the upper wheel for further ascent. Combine your abilities skillfully and pass through the doorway to your right, leading into the next room.

Just as when players initially entered High Halls, leap onto the platforms teeming with adversaries, then grab onto floating rings to advance into the next chamber.

Peer below, slide smoothly past the sharp protrusions, and swiftly grab hold of the ring when you reach it. This action will eliminate the spiky barriers, revealing a descent route below. Proceed moving down using this same method and Hornet will ultimately discover an adversary positioned to the left along a nearby path.

1. To get to the tool, step into the room on the left. Follow the path until you reach its end. Examine the tool and then utilize a Craftmetal to assemble it. Take a seat on a bench when you need a break, and make sure your Cogfly is in use for combat situations. Additionally, players can blend their acquired flying companions from the Rite of the Pollip quest with each other to inflict venom and additional damage.
2. In the left room lies the tool at the end of the path. Take a look at it after entering, then utilize Craftmetal to build it. When you feel like taking a break, have your Cogfly equipped for battles. As for an extra touch, players can mix and match their flying companions from the Rite of the Pollip quest, creating a venomous blend that deals more damage.
3. You’ll find the tool at the end of the path in the left room. Once you step inside, inspect it and assemble it with Craftmetal. Whenever you feel like resting, ensure your Cogfly is equipped for battles. Furthermore, players can combine their flying companions obtained during the Rite of the Pollip quest to inflict venom and deal extra damage.
4. Upon entering the left room, make your way to the end of the path where the tool awaits. Examine it and construct it using Craftmetal. When you need a break, equip your Cogfly for battles. Players can also merge their flying companions from the Rite of the Pollip quest to apply venom and increase damage output.

In the game ‘Silksong’, Craftmetal can be acquired via several means. At the onset of the game, you can purchase it from vendors such as Pebb in Bone Bottom. Additionally, you may discover it while exploring areas like Pharloom; for example, it can be found near Hunter’s March and at the end of Lake in Fleatopia when venturing through your journey.
