Many items in Arc Raiders that used to be useless are now required for upgrades and crafting. Specifically, the Cooling Coil is essential for progressing in the game’s second season. These coils can be tricky to find, as they’re rarer than most other industrial resources. This guide will show you exactly where to locate them in Arc Raiders.

How to Get Cooling Coil in Arc Raiders

Cooling Coils cost 1,000 Coins and can be broken down into 6 Chemicals and 2 Steel Springs. Since Springs are used in many crafting recipes, like Advanced Mechanical Components and Extended Magazines, Cooling Coils stay valuable even after you’ve used them for the expedition. You’ll need four Cooling Coils for the expedition’s second phase, in addition to 35 Durable Cloth, 25 Wires, and 20 Electrical Components.

You’ll find Cooling Coils most reliably in industrial areas. While Spaceport has the most industrial locations, it’s also the largest map, so reaching the right buildings can take a while depending on where you spawn. A more efficient place to farm Cooling Coils is the Dam Battlegrounds. Specifically, check the Hydroponic Dome Complex and the Power Generation Complex.

These two locations are great for finding loot. Be sure to search generators, car hoods, and metal crates – that’s where you’ll most likely find the coils you need. The areas are near each other, so after searching one, check the other. Even if someone else has already been there, you still have a good chance of finding coils, as not everyone is looking for them.

You can carry up to three coils at once. If you find any, quickly store them in your Safe Pocket. Salvaging coils on the Topside will give you two Springs for each one you recover.
