How Do Eternal Seeds Work?
Okay, so in Hytale, there’s this awesome thing called Eternal Seeds. Basically, when you harvest a normal seed, it’s gone, right? Not these! Eternal Seeds don’t get used up when you pick them. Instead, they just… restart growing! You can harvest a fully grown Eternal Seed, and it’ll stay planted and start growing all over again. That’s why they call them ‘Eternal’ – they just keep going and going, which is super useful for farming!
When planted, Eternal Seeds have a neon green aura around them to highlight their special nature.
Eternal Seeds offer a significant advantage: they allow you to grow crops that continuously regrow, providing a limitless supply of a specific plant or vegetable after just one planting. However, these seeds are much rarer and more difficult to obtain than standard seeds, balancing their powerful effect.
So, if I destroy the Eternal Seed, or even the block it’s growing on, it drops an Eternal Seed Bag that I can grab. Pretty simple!
How to Get Eternal Seeds in Hytale
There are two ways to get Eternal Seeds in Hytale:
- Harvest regular crops until an Eternal Seed drops.
- Unlock Eternal Seed recipes by collecting memories.
Getting Eternal Seeds From Regular Crops
Okay, so in Hytale, when you finally harvest a fully grown crop, there’s a really small chance it’ll drop something special called an Eternal Seed of that same type. Honestly, the drop rate is so low that if I’m trying to get a specific Eternal Seed, I have to plant a TON of that crop and just hope I get lucky!
Unlocking Eternal Seed Recipes
In Hytale, you unlock Eternal Seed recipes by recovering memories at the Heart of Orbis, located in the Forgotten Temple. As you reach certain milestones in memory collection, new recipes will appear at the Farmer’s Workbench. The table below lists all Eternal Seed recipes and when you can unlock them.
