How to Get Every Nix Treat in Star Wars Outlaws (Galactic Street Food)

As someone who’s spent countless hours in the murky underbelly of Kijimi and the bustling streets of Mirogana, I can confidently say that the Duradan Soup and Che Mosska are two treats that have drastically changed my gameplay experience in Star Wars Outlaws.

In the game titled “Star Wars Outlaws“, it’s quite possible that players might find themselves believing that Nix, Kay’s companion creature, is the true star of the story. This little merqual is not only extremely endearing but also demonstrates a variety of skills crucial to Kay’s victories. Although there are only a few ways to enhance Nix’s talents, one method stands out as one of the most engaging side-activities in “Star Wars Outlaws“. Scattered across each planet, you’ll discover Galactic Street Food vendors. Each vendor offers a unique culinary delight, which unfolds in an engaging mini-game. Upon successful completion of the game, a special bonus called a “Nix Treat” is unlocked for Kay’s companion.

In the game of Star Wars Outlaws, you’ll come across unique items called Nix Treats. These are similar to charms, offering Nix a specific advantage that enhances his battle skills in some way. There are merely 4 different types of Nix Treats, which might leave you feeling they could use more development. However, the challenge of obtaining each treat is rewarding, and the best ones can be quite beneficial. This guide will help players locate each Nix Treat and the Street Food Vendor, and rank them from least to most effective.

Where to Find Every Nix Treat in Star Wars Outlaws

Food stalls offering dishes that later appear as popular treats in the Star Wars Outlaws series are run by street vendors. In total, there are four such vendors spread across the four main planets of this series. Upon entering a new planet for the first time, these vendors will be highlighted on the map with a question mark, just like any other point of interest. These food stalls are usually located in busy market districts within cities or towns. Once found, each vendor requires 200 credits from Kay to prepare their specialty dish.

All Nix Treats in Star Wars Outlaws:

Treat Name Perk Location
Che Mosskà
  • Nix will kick grenades away from Kay.
  • Mirogana, Toshara
Duradan Soup
  • Nix can distract multiple enemies at a time, but the distract range is reduced.
  • Kijimi City
Sketto Chuga
  • Nix attacks now make enemies wreak havoc, causing them to shoot wildly in all directions.
  • Mos Eisley, Tatooine
Kurado Fruit
  • Nix distracts enemies for a longer duration.
  • Myrra, Akiva

As a gamer, when I manage to gather all four of those tantalizing Nix Treats hidden throughout the game, I’ll be rewarded with the prestigious ‘Galactic Gourmet’ trophy/achievement!

4. Sketto Chuga

Where to Find Sketto Chuga:

  • Sketto Chuga is the Nix Treat found on Tatooine, in the city of Mos Eisley.
  • The Galactic Street Food stand is found in the Mos Eisley Bazaar
  • If you come from the west side of the city, look for the corridor shown in the image above. That will lead you down into the bazaar.

This spicy dish causes Nix to have a new attack function, essentially putting enemies into a ‘berserk’ mode, attacking anything around them. While this treat can have fun results, and can potentially help if Kay is already in all-out combat, it does nothing to help Kay avoid combat. This treat seems designed to amuse, as there is very little in the way of actual assistance it offers. More often than not, the affected enemy will not hit anything with their shots. In a game that places so much emphasis on stealth, it is hard to argue that this Nix Treat should rank higher.

3. Kurado Fruit Platter

Where to Find Kurado Fruit Platter:

  • The Kurado Fruit is the Nix Treat found on Akiva, in the city of Myrra.
  • Head east from the spaceport into the crowded market area. Kay will mention that ‘something smells good.‘ Check the compass for a question mark, then head to the closest one. You’ll find the food stand easily this way.

If you struggle to take down an enemy while Nix creates a distraction, the Kurado Fruit might be helpful for you. Nevertheless, Duradan Soup’s talent for diverting several enemies simultaneously is more advantageous. There could be certain situations where Kay might need extended distractions, but when it comes to selecting the optimal ‘stealth’-oriented Nix Treat, the Kurado Fruit seems less effective in comparison.

2. Duradan Soup

Where to Find Duradan Soup:

  • The Duradan Soup is the Nix Treat found on Kijimi, in Kijimi City.
  • The Duradan Soup stand is found in the heart of the city, where multiple roads converge. See the map above for the exact location.

One of the toughest aspects of Star Wars Outlaws’ stealth gameplay is dealing with multiple enemies at once. During the larger infiltration missions, Kay will be faced with larger groups of enemies, and distracting one is not going to do much. The Duradan Soup’s perk can be extremely helpful in these situations, allowing Nix to distract small groups.

This method can also prove beneficial for covert conflicts. Unlike characters from Ubisoft’s major series, Kay doesn’t acquire a skill to simultaneously subdue numerous foes at once. The Duradan Soup potion significantly aids in this aspect, enabling Kay to employ Nix to divert several adversaries, thereby making multiple takedowns significantly safer to attempt.

If Kay takes adequate precautions, the disadvantage of Duradan Soup, which makes Nix approach enemies to divert their attention, won’t pose a significant problem. Make sure Kay is skillfully concealed before positioning Nix, and the distance concern will be minimized. Ultimately, it’s evident that Duradan Soup is more suitable for stealth-oriented gameplay.

1. Che Mosskà

Where to Find Che Mosska:

  • Che Mosskà is the Nix Treat found on Toshara, in the city of MIrogana.

It’s highly possible that Che Mosskà will be the first treat players encounter in Nix Treat, and for many, they may never replace it with anything else. While Star Wars Outlaws encourages stealth throughout the game, it often leads to chaotic missions. In such situations, Che Mosskà appears to be the most useful option. When combat begins, enemies will likely toss grenades, and this treat transforms Nix into a defensive powerhouse. Players won’t need to worry about anything; Nix will handle it himself. This makes it challenging to assert that Sketto Chuga’s minimal assistance is superior to what this treat provides.

In numerous aspects, Duradan Soup could be the preferred choice for many players. If you opt to stay hidden, this item might seem more valuable than any other in the game. Keep in mind, though, that this ranking, like most rankings, can be quite subjective. Your playstyle in Star Wars Outlaws will significantly influence which Nix Treat you believe is superior.

One of the standout features of the treats in Star Wars Outlaws is their versatility – they can be used differently depending on the situation at hand. Unlike some games where you’re stuck with a single item, these treats allow you to adapt your strategy throughout the game. Although you can’t swap them during battle, you can do so at any other moment. For instance, consider using Duradan Soup in stealth-focused segments, and Che Mosska in combat scenarios.
