Discovering new things is a key part of the Where Winds Meet experience. You’ll explore to earn rewards, unlock features, and simply see all the game has to offer. The Qinghe region and surrounding areas are full of secrets, and almost everything you do contributes to increasing your exploration level. If you want to level up quickly, it’s helpful to have a plan, as there’s a lot to do in Where Winds Meet. Here’s a guide to the activities that will help you make the most of your exploration progress.
Quests and Encounters
To quickly earn Exploration EXP in Where Winds Meet, focus on completing Exploration quests and tackling random encounters. You’ll find these naturally as you play, and they’re always a good use of your time. Encounters, in particular, are usually very quick to finish.
Completing certain Exploration quests and Encounters can unlock new abilities and features. For example, you can eventually unlock the ability to fly in Where Winds Meet, but it will take time, depending on how far you’ve progressed with Qinghe Explorations.
Completing quests and overcoming challenges usually earns around 25 Exploration Points, but bigger quests can award up to 100. Both main story quests and optional side quests give different amounts of these points.
Unlocking Boundary Stones
In Where Winds Meet, Boundary Stones are important landmarks that let you quickly travel around the world. Finding and unlocking all of them will make exploring much easier and help you progress in the game. Each Boundary Stone gives you 50 Exploration Points – more than you usually get from quests or random encounters. However, there aren’t many in each area, and they can be tricky to find. If an area is covered in fog on your map (like northern Qinghe), you won’t be able to see the Boundary Stones there until you’ve explored that part of the map.
Collecting Oddities and Opening Chests
A fast way to earn Exploration Points is by collecting Oddities. These items help you unlock abilities in the Melodies of Peace skill tree in WWM, which is great for improving your account. Oddities are usually insects, little creatures, or strange objects you find while exploring—they often stand out with bright colors. Keep an eye out for glowing lights, butterflies, or flowers to find them as you play!
As I explore, opening chests gives me Exploration Points, which is awesome! Most places worth checking out have a few chests hidden around, and thankfully, the game makes it pretty easy to find them – a little marker pops up on the screen whenever I get close to one. It’s a nice little help when I’m trying to loot everything!
Minigames and Meow Meow Challenges
While you explore, you might find bright red, glowing swords sticking out of the ground. These mark Meow Meow Challenges, and finishing one typically gives you 30 Exploration Points. They’re quick and simple – usually taking less than a minute to complete.
As I’ve been exploring, I’ve noticed I can challenge people around town – they’re like characters in the game – to little competitions for Exploration Points. It’s pretty fun! You can do things like wrestle, fish, or even try archery. Each one usually gets you about 10 Exploration Points, which is a nice little boost.
