Pokémon Legends: Z-A features 230 Pokémon to find, and some are much harder to locate than others. Goomy is one of those particularly elusive Pokémon.
As a Pokémon fan, I’m already hearing that Goomy is super rare in Pokémon Legends: Z-A! Not only is it hard to find, but getting it to evolve is apparently tricky too. Because of that, I’m planning to catch and box it as soon as I can – definitely don’t want to miss out on completing the Pokédex!
Looking for Goomy in Pokémon Legends: Z-A? We’ve got the information on where to find it, and which spot offers the best chance of catching one.
Where to Find Goomy in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
You can find Goomy in a few different places in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and it’s available to encounter relatively early in the game. However, it becomes much easier to obtain later on as you progress through the story.
You can find Goomy in a few different spots when it’s raining, like on a bridge and rooftops in Vert Sector 9, a roof in Vert Sector 8, and at the end of the pier in Saison Canal. But because it only appears when it’s raining, it can be hard to encounter.
Once you unlock the Lumiose Sewers later in the game, you’re guaranteed to find a Goomy in a specific spot. You’ll initially visit this area during the story, but you can return anytime after talking to the character with a Camerupt near the sewer entrance.
When you go back to the sewer, go straight ahead from the entrance, ignoring the ladder to your left. This will lead you to the bigger parts of the sewer where you can always find Goomy – it appears there no matter the weather, making it a simple way to get this Pokémon.
Can You Catch Sliggoo & Goodra in Pokémon Legends: Z-A?
You can find and catch both Sliggoo and Goodra in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which is a great way to quickly fill out your Pokédex. But keep in mind there are some limitations.
You can find Sliggoo near the water north of Vert Sector 4, but it only appears when it’s raining, similar to how Goomy appears outside the sewers. It might also be tricky to catch.
After you finish the main story, you can find a powerful Goodra as an Alpha Pokémon in Wild Zone 20. Under the ruins of Prism Tower, Alpha Pokémon frequently appear, but it’s not always Goodra – you might also encounter Pokémon like Tyranitar, Gyarados, and Leafeon there too.
Okay, so heads-up for anyone doing the Zygarde quest! If you’ve started it by beating Lysandre near Hotel Z, you won’t be able to trigger the guaranteed Pokémon spawns in Wild Zone 20. Zygarde will be waiting for a battle right there, and you need to beat and catch it before those Alpha Pokémon will start showing up again. Basically, Zygarde’s battle blocks the spawns until you’re done with him.
