To embark on the Exotic Quest, Graviton Through the Ages, players need to ensure they’ve first accomplished the final mission in The Edge of Fate: The Message, at which point they will be able to make their way to the Altar of Relativity.
How to Complete the Graviton Through the Ages Exotic Quest
In the Graviton Through the Ages adventure, you’ll encounter a total of 15 stages. Many are simple, such as chatting with an NPC in the HUB zone. However, some stages include intricate puzzles that might seem challenging or overwhelming. The objective of this quest is to gather weapon pieces by solving these puzzles. To aid players in completing the quest, we’ve arranged each weapon piece in the order they appear. Enjoy your journey!
How to Find Weapon Piece #1 (Outer Steppes)
Following conversations with Lodi and the Emeritus in Caldera, gamers are assigned a mission: hunt down and acquire the weapon fragment hidden within the Outer Steppes. To accomplish this objective, consult your map, use fast travel to reach the top-left corner of the map, and you’ll find yourself in the Outer Steppes. Remember to place a waypoint on the Graviton Through the Ages quest for simpler navigation. Journey towards the marked area until the lower left side of your heads-up display indicates “Near Objective.” Then, proceed left from the building with a massive metallic antenna; behind that structure is a Rosetta Sentry you must destroy. Right behind the Rosetta Sentry lies a computer panel to interact with, triggering the next phase to unearth the misplaced Department of External Observations weapon fragment.
As a gamer, I’m tasked to identify the specified zone on my map and move towards the indicated waypoint. Inside this region, I need to locate three energy sources known as Pylons. These Pylons can be activated using Matterspark. Let’s get started!
- Pylon #1 – Behind the building that houses the weapon piece
- Pylon #2 – On the other side of the vent by Pylon #1
- Pylon #3 – At the bottom of the cliff near Pylon #2, by a teleporter
After powering up the three pillars, you’re now able to unlock the door and engage with a stack of items on the ground to progress further. In this instance, make your way back to the Emeritus, an action that initiates the hunt for the subsequent weapon component.
How to Find Weapon Piece #2 (The Gorge)
After consulting with the Emeritus, adjust your pointer to the map’s bottom-left corner and teleport to the nearby location called Assimilated Easement. Your guide will lead you into The Gorge, but remember to use Mattermorph on any obstacles that are barring the path, as this place is quite labyrinthine. In a central chamber filled with Vex, take the left-hand passage to encounter a Rosetta Sentry. Hidden amongst some metal scraps in this vicinity, you’ll find a computer terminal that, when activated, will provide the next instruction for tracking down the missing Department of External Observations weapon component.
To get the Mattermorph weapon piece, first, leave the current room through the same entrance you used. After that, make a right turn. You’ll find yourself in Matterspark; proceed forward into a teleporter. Upon exiting the teleporter, take an immediate left through a hole, and stick to the left wall to enter a hidden room. In this secret room, throw a Mattermorph at the wall to reveal the weapon piece.
Alternatively, you can go straight ahead through the tunnel to encounter a Vex Cyclops. Behind the gap, there’s a cave accessible with Matterspark. Inside the cave, you’ll find Mattermorph—don’t forget to pick it up! To exit the cave, use Matterspark again and then re-enter the original hole, but this time make a right turn to enter another secret room. In this room, aim a Mattermorph ball at the wall to locate the second weapon piece.
Finally, return to Caldera and chat with Lodi.
How to Find Weapon Piece #3 (Exile’s Accord)
To locate this weapon fragment, navigate to the market positioned at Augur’s Bethel, which is situated on the map’s far right corner. From Curtilage Divide’s fast travel point, proceed ahead into the lower region and follow the extended pathway lined up straight. This path will lead you to a room filled with Fallen, specifically in its central area. Within this room, move to the right initially, then turn left, and ultimately enter the train. Inside the train, look for a pipe with an open hatch on its ceiling; players can jump up into it. Above this hatch, there’s a Relocator station. Use this Relocator to return down the hatch, and head to the pipe farthest to the left. Shoot a portal here and depart through the new room. In this newly-emerged space, go all the way towards the back and utilize the Matterspark portal. Proceed to the second door on the left to encounter the Rosetta Sentry and an interactive computer terminal. This marks the initiation of another search for a missing Department of External Observations weapon fragment.
Leave the terminal chamber and turn right to reach the teleporter room. Remember to utilize Matterspark for transporting through the appropriate portal, which can be identified by a wall adorned with multiple glowing bulbs and mushrooms. In this area, move towards the back-left corner of the room to discover a Relocator. Use it on the pipe located on the upper level to teleport into another space. At the end of that room lies the last weapon component.
How to Find Weapon Piece #4 (Ionian Campus)
In this stage, things get easier for everyone involved, since all you have to do is remove Vex from Kepler. To gather Data Fragments from defeated Vex, head towards the HUB region first. From there, take a right and engage with a Vex terminal. This sets off an event-like situation without a time constraint, where Vex will keep spawning. You can either deal with these smaller Vex or accomplish the task for a mini-boss Vex that drops more Data Fragments. Once you reach 100%, you’ll find your final objective for the Department of External Observations weapon piece, located near the Ionian Campus area, which is at the top right corner of the map.
As we begin our quest to locate the last weapon part, make your way to the Ionian Campus. Look for a door positioned next to a computer terminal, then follow the uncomplicated path you find. You’ll soon come across a slightly open door, but beware, it’s blocked by lasers. Outside this area, you’ll discover a crane holding a Relocator that requires Mattermorph for activation.
You can find the Mattermorph in one of the Ionian Campus’ far corners inside a big red storage container. Once you’ve obtained it, throw the Mattermorph at the cage to release the Relocator, then collect the cannon and employ it to shoot through the door, which will transport you into another room where the final weapon part is waiting just beyond the teleporter.
Now, it’s time for another chat with Lodi to complete this stage of our mission.
How to Assemble Graviton Spike Using the Sieve
As a devoted player exploring the expansive world of Kepler, I’m always on the lookout for exciting activities like The Sieve, but it doesn’t pop up too frequently. To stay informed about its availability, I regularly check the Kepler map. Nestled to the left of Caldera, you’ll find a handy timer counting down for The Sieve. Once the time comes and the activity begins, make your way to the heart of Caldera. There, you’ll notice a flag that ascends, ready for interaction. Click on it, and voila! You’re now part of the activity. Completing The Sieve is surprisingly straightforward: gather Graviton Spike, the key to unlocking the final reward chest. Inside, you’ll find your well-deserved Graviton Spike!
How to Get All Intrinsics for Graviton Spike
Here’s a more conversational and simpler way to explain that:
Players can acquire three Temporal Manipulation enhancements for their Graviton Spike, but only if they have it equipped. To do this, aim the Arc bullets from your Graviton Spike at an Arc-coated plant pod. When enough damage has been dealt and the pod opens, switch to Stasis mode on your Graviton Spike, then shoot the Stasis Crystal inside. Here’s where you can find all three Intrinsic upgrades for Graviton Spike:
[Location details]
This process might sound complex initially, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll be able to upgrade your Graviton Spike in no time!
How to Get Intrinsic #1 for Graviton Spike
Near Caldera, you can locate the spot for the Graviton Spike. From Caldera’s birthplace, veer right towards the main building, then look for a wall with a hole nearby. This hidden passage leads to a cozy room with a specific flower that needs to be eliminated. Eliminating this particular flower will cause the fan to cease functioning, providing access to it. Inside the fan, players can gather the collectible for Temporal Manipulation II.
How to Get Intrinsic #2 for Graviton Spike
To reach the Curtilage Divide quickly, first, go to the room situated to the right upon entering. Continue through this room while maintaining a course to the right, following the path with green lights as your guide. If players have completed Mission: Transient, they will be in the correct zone. Proceed along the path to obtain the Relocator and aim at the teleporter pad next to the laser wall to transport into a room containing a flower for Graviton Spike usage. Subsequently, find Mattermorph on the platform above and opposite the flower, then use it to enter the building’s interior from its rooftop and retrieve the collectible with Temporal Manipulation III inside.
How to Get Intrinsic #3 for Graviton Spike
As a gamer,
“To find Temporal Manipulation IV, teleport yourself to Assimilated Easement using fast travel. After landing, head towards the left and follow the path that leads to a train and Mission: Calculus. Keep going along this path within the Stellar Sink. The journey is quite long, but you’ll eventually spot a hole in the bottom right corner of the Stellar Sink – it’s where players previously picked up the 2nd weapon piece for Graviton Spike.
Pass through that hole using Matterspark. Once you’re past that area, proceed to the back and find a white door. Go inside this room, look up, and you’ll see another flower that needs shooting with your Graviton Spike. Underneath that flower is another hole to be entered using Matterspark. Inside that hole, you’ll discover Temporal Manipulation IV.
How to Get All Catalysts for Graviton Spike
To obtain all four Triggers for the Graviton Peak, you’ll need to adjust a distinct level of challenge for each and solve a series of challenges associated with them. This part can be quite a treasure hunt, so let me guide you through it:
1. Locate the positions where you can adjust the difficulty setting for each Catalyst.
2. Solve the puzzles related to each setting to trigger them.
3. Repeat this process until you’ve activated all four Catalysts.
How to Get Rapid Hit Refit Catalyst
To obtain Rapid Hit, gamers need to play at either the Fabled or Mythic difficulty levels in the worlds of Kepler. Here are the locations for the individual components of this catalyst:
1. (Location 1)
2. (Location 2)
3. (Location 3)
- Rapid Hit #1 – Head to Exile’s Accord and follow the path to the first available left, then take a right into the portal via Matterspark. In this room, head to the back and shoot the flower above with Graviton Spike and enter the room to the right and shoot all three fuses on the wall. Take the Relocator and head up the pipes to reach the back of the map, where players can shoot the Relocator to access a portal that takes them to a collectible for Rapid Hit #1.
- Rapid Hit #2 – Head to the Outer Steppes and keep to the left path. Follow this long path to reach an open door with red lights inside, and then take a right. In this central area is a Rosetta machine to be destroyed. One is found against a rock wall by the weather balloon, and the other is on the roof of the central building. Follow past the weather balloon on the left and use Graviton Spike to disable the fan and access the terminal to grab Rapid Hit #2 inside.
- Rapid Hit #3 – Head to Singularity through the open door at the HUB area by following the linear path. Take a right when you find the fighting Vex and use the hole in the floor with Matterspark, then the next hole in the floor, which is just a drop after. In this room is a bunch of lasers, and on a platform is a Vex structure to be destroyed. Head through another hole to grab the Reolactor and shoot the Relocator Relay to teleport next to Mattermorph, which can be used to access the next room. The back right of this room has a Graviton Spiek flower, and once destroyed, head below the plant and to the right to find the final Rapid Hit Refit piece.
Stay in the area where you found the third part to begin the Subsistence catalyst’s first part.
How to Get Subsistence Catalyst
Obtaining subsistence can be as challenging as the legends suggest, and here’s a guide to acquiring each of the three components necessary to activate the catalyst:
Or, if you prefer a more conversational tone:
To make subsistence a reality, even the myths don’t lie, and this is how to gather all three essential pieces to trigger the catalyst:
- Subsistence #1 – In the Singularity, where players got Refit #3, head to the right room past the Vex Cyclops into the open wall on the left. Follow through this small room to find a Graviton Spike plant and carry forward to find this part.
- Subsistence #2 – Head to Exile’s Accord. Immediately from the fast travel area, take the teleporter with Matterspark, and then take the next teleporter. From here, head into the train and follow the path on the train track to the right to find a Relocator at the eventual back left. With this device, drop it in the middle by the fan, and then use the Graviton Spike on the flower to slow the fan, then shoot inside with the Relocator. The portal pad is found to the right and then the left, and inside is another part.
- Subsistence #3 – This part is found in the Outer Steppes. Follow the path that requires Mattermorph to the right and continue on the path. You will eventually need to jump through some pipes into a large reactor room, where you will then take the white door on the right and continue on the path. Take the Mattermorph here and hit the rock wall, then with the Relactor in this area, travel the Mattermorph path and shoot the portal to enter another room. Inside this room at the back is another Relocator, and opposite that is Mattermorph. Throw Mattermorph at the glowing wall and then shoot the Relocator at the starting point to activate the portal to find a Vex Pylon that can be charged with Matterspark. This will deactivate a barrier, and now players can head to the back of this area to find a Graviton Spike flower, with an accessible fan with the final Subsistence Refit part.
How to Get Transcendent Zen Catalyst
Achieving Transcendent Zen is possible solely on the highest level of difficulty, Mythic. Here are the locations for each of the 3 catalyst components:
1. Part 1 can be found in this location…
2. Part 2 is hidden here…
3. And Part 3 is tucked away over there…
- Transcendent Zen #1 – From Caldera, head around the central building from the right to find a plant by the cliffside. Shoot this plant with Graviton Spike to find a room with a Rosetta machine, and then activate the door closest to the machine to kill a hostile Fallen. After, activate the door to the left of that one to shoot another Rosetta machine, and input the command at the central terminal. This opens a door for the first part of this catalyst.
- Transcendent Zen #2 – At the Aionian Campus, head past the flower into the portal with Matterspark. Take the first right and follow the caverns past the Vex to find a Graviton Spike plant on the ceiling. Destroy it and head through the fan to get Mattermorph, then head out and behind the plant to a large room with another plant. The vent is to the right of this plant, and Mattermorph is needed to get inside, so open that and then pick up this part.
- Transcendent Zen #3 – Head to Caldera and enter the portal underneath the main room to travel to the Assimilated Easement. Keep to the left path for this lengthy journey to reach the Singularity. Continue forward and then take a left where the Vex are fighting for Mattermorph, and then follow the left path to shoot Mattermorph and then go through the pipes for a safe exit. Continue on the path upwards to find another hole in the wall in a building, where a Graviton Spike plant can be shot to slow the fan underneath. Enter the fan and head down the room to fight a large Fallen boss. At the end of this room is the next part.
Keep within the vicinity where you discovered the third piece, to initiate the initial phase of the Temporal Alignment catalyst.
How to Get Temporal Alignment Catalyst
Obtaining Temporal Alignment is possible exclusively in the Mythic world tier. Here’s a breakdown on how to gather all three components:
1. First Component: Defeat the boss at the specified location within the designated timeframe.
2. Second Component: Complete the series of challenges presented within the given time constraints.
3. Third Component: Collect the final piece from the hidden cache in the Mythic world, ensuring you meet the specific requirements to unlock it.
- Temporal Alignment #1 – In the same room where players fought the Fallen boss for the Transcendent Zen catalyst, head back up the elevator and shoot the plant in the middle with Graviton Zen to disable the fan and exit. There’s a portal here for Matterspark, and through it, players can keep to the right to find a large room. Head up the platform on the left and follow the rooftops over to reach the forward path below, where a terminal can be accessed at the very back. With this terminal online, head back to the first rooftop to find a Graviton Zen plant on the left, and then an open room near the ceiling that holds this part.
- Temporal Alignment #2 – Head to the Gorge and follow the path forward. Take the second left and follow through the area with Matterspark, then climb the rocky structures upwards as you make your way forward. Climb all the way to the top and glide to the back of a Vex structure for a Relocator. To the right of the portal is a Graviton Zen plant that can be shot, so do so and then immediately grab the Relocator and run towards the plant into the cave below, where players can shoot through the slow-moving fan to activate the portal and enter through for this part, found in the back corner.
- Temporal Alignment #3 – From Caldera, head left to find a Graviton Zen plant. Shoot it and access the fan. Inside is an accessible area with Matterspark, and at the end of the tunnel is a collectible piece for this catalyst.
