Pokémon Legends: Z-A features over 200 Pokémon to discover and catalog in the Pokédex. Litwick is particularly rare and difficult to find because it doesn’t appear very often, but we have the information you need to help you catch it.
Most Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A are found throughout the Wild Zones around Lumiose City. However, some Pokémon, like Litwick, are very rare. You can only find Litwick in one specific location.

Where to Find Litwick in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you can find Litwick exclusively in the Lumiose Sewers. You’ll initially explore this area as part of the main story, and can revisit it after unlocking the zone.
To get into the sewers for the first time, you’ll need a Pokémon that knows Ice Beam. It’s also a good idea to have an Ice-type move in general, as it helps you get through certain areas of the Lumiose Sewers – including reaching the spot where you can find Litwick.
Okay, so once you get far enough in the story and unlock the Lumiose City sewers, getting back there isn’t super obvious! I figured it out though: you can fast travel to Cafe Woof in Bleu Sector 3, and then walk around the buildings. There’s a path around the back that leads to the sewer entrance. You’ll see a guy standing near a gate with a Camerupt – talk to him, and he’ll open the doors for you!
Completing this task also starts the Camerupt Entrepreneur side quest. However, you don’t have to finish the entire quest to reach the sewers.
Can You Catch Lampent & Chandelure in Pokémon Legends: Z-A?
You can catch Lampent and Chandelure directly in Pokémon Legends: Z-A without evolving Litwick, if you prefer. However, you’ll still need to find all three Pokémon – Litwick, Lampent, and Chandelure – to complete your Pokédex.
Okay, so I figured out where to find Lampent! You can only get them on the rooftops in Wild Zone 17, and it’s only at night. You’ve gotta finish Main Mission 24 and become Rank C before you can even access that area, though.
You can only find Chandelure after you’ve completed the main story and unlocked Wild Zone 20, and even then, it’s not a guaranteed encounter. Chandelure appears as a rare Alpha Pokémon in the center of the zone, near the ruins of Prism Tower.
Many different Pokémon can appear as an Alpha in this area, including Chandelure. The appearance of Chandelure, as well as Pokémon like Leafeon, Garchomp, and Tyranitar, is random.
Keep in mind that you won’t find Alpha Pokémon in this area if Zygarde is challenging you. You’ll need to defeat and catch Zygarde before Alpha Pokémon can appear here again.
