You’ll need to watch out for things like sudden heatwaves or swarms of enemies, as these can lead to serious damage or even death. That’s why the Medtool is so useful – it lets you heal without using up your limited food and water. Here’s how to get it in StarRupture.

How to Get the Medtool in StarRupture

You unlock the Medtool by leveling up to 3 with the Future Health Solutions corporation. To do this, start by completing your first task for them, which you receive from an Orbital Cargo Launcher. This initial task requires you to deliver 200 Wolfram Bars. You can create these bars by mining Wolfram Ore with an ore extractor, smelting the ore, and then transporting the resulting bars to the Orbital Cargo Launcher using a rail system.

After finishing up, your next step is to fulfill Future Health Solutions’ second request: sending them both Wolfram Wire and Wolfram Bars. You can make Wolfram Bars the same way as before. To create Wolfram Wire, you’ll need to connect a Fabricator to your smelter. Choose the Wolfram Wire recipe on the Fabricator, then link it to your Orbital Cargo Launcher to begin sending the wire to Future Health Solutions.

Using Wolfram Bars will slow down your progress towards level 3 because each one only counts as 1 towards the 1,500 needed. Wolfram Wire is much more efficient, giving you 5 points per wire, but it takes more effort to build the necessary machines and structures to produce it.

Once you’ve finished this, head back to the Corporate Terminal to claim your Level 3 reward – a handy Medtool – from Future Health Solutions.

Don’t Forget to Charge It!

The Medtool needs to be fully charged before you can use it. You charge it by defeating enemies, taking damage, and gathering plants. Once charged, press the ‘H’ key to equip it. Then, you can heal yourself or aim at another player and left-click to heal them.

The Medtool is really helpful because it lets you recover health without using any food or water. Even if you’re not hungry or thirsty, it’s best not to waste supplies on healing when your health is low.
