How to Get Mega Baxcalibur in Pokémon Legends: Z-A—Baxcalibrite Location, Explained

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is getting its first downloadable content with the Mega Dimension DLC. However, you can still get the Baxcalibrite item and unlock Mega Baxcalibur even without purchasing the DLC.

Okay, so Pokémon Legends: Z-A is adding Mega Evolutions, and Mega Baxcalibur is one of them! It’s really cool because even if you don’t buy the DLC, you can still get all the Pokémon that come with the update – you won’t be locked out just for not purchasing it. That’s a big win for us players!

Where to Find Baxcalibrite & Get Mega Baxcalibur in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Okay, so I just found out about Baxcalibrite in Pokémon Legends: Z-A! Apparently, you can only get it by battling in Ranked Online matches during Season 4. Everyone’s guessing you’ll need to hit that super high Rank S to actually earn it, but that hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. It’s going to be a tough climb, but I’m already planning my strategy!

Season 4 will start right after Season 3 finishes. Season 3, where you can primarily earn Chesnaughtite, is scheduled to end on December 18th.

You won’t be able to get Mega Baxcalibur through normal gameplay before Season 4 starts. However, you don’t need to buy the Mega Dimension DLC, or even have Baxcalibur itself, to obtain it. Anyone can trade for Baxcalibur, or any other Pokémon that came with the DLC.

You’ll have more chances to get Baxcalibrite and Mega Baxcalibur later on, but it might always require playing Ranked Battles.

Will Baxcalibrite be Available Again?

Baxcalibrite, similar to other Mega Stones originally given out through online ranked battles, will be available again in the future. We expect it will be obtainable through a similar method as other Mega Stones.

In Season 3, the rewards from the first two seasons – Greninjite and Delophoxite – were given out to players at lower ranks. Because of this, it’s expected that Baxcalibrite will be distributed in a similar way during a future season.

You won’t be able to get Baxcalibrite by playing the game normally. It looks like the Mega Stones you earn through Ranked battles will only be available when playing online.

You’ll need a Nintendo Switch Online membership to get all the Mega Evolution Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
