So, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is getting a DLC called Mega Dimension, and it’s awesome because it finally lets me Mega Evolve my Hoenn starters! But honestly, unlocking Blazikenite and getting Mega Blaziken is a serious grind – it’s going to take a while to get everything set up.
The Pokémon from the Hoenn region’s starting lineup are a major draw in the Legends: Z-A game with the Mega Dimension DLC. However, you can obtain these Pokémon—and all the others added in the DLC—without actually buying the extra content.
No matter if you have the Mega Dimension DLC or not, TopMob explains how to obtain Blazikenite and Mega Evolve Blaziken in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
Where to Find Blazikenite & Get Mega Blaziken in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

So, just like with the other starter evolutions from Hoenn, they’re giving away the Blazikenite – the item you need to Mega Evolve Blaziken – as a reward in the upcoming Ranked Online season. It’s Season 8, and they haven’t announced the exact dates yet, but I’m definitely gonna grind it out to get mine!
Pokémon Legends: Z-A seasons each last about three weeks, and we now know the schedule for the upcoming months. Season 8 is currently the last confirmed season, and is expected to begin around the end of February or early March. This timing is especially notable as it coincides with Pokémon Day 2026, which will celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary.
Once Season 8 starts, you won’t be able to get Mega Blaziken the usual way, but you won’t need to buy any extra content to get the item needed. Players who reach a certain rank will receive Blazikenite, and you can get Blaziken and its earlier forms by trading with other players.
Will Blazikenite be Available Again?
Mega Stones previously given as Ranked Battle rewards have always reappeared in later seasons, and we anticipate Blazikenite will follow that pattern. However, the future of Ranked Battles in Legends: Z-A after Season 8 is currently unknown.
Season 8 is predicted to end around mid-to-late March. By then, Pokémon Pokopia should be available on the Nintendo Switch 2. This will follow the Pokémon Presents presentation, expected on Pokémon Day 2026, which will likely reveal the release dates for upcoming games and content for the rest of the year and beyond.
As a big Pokémon fan, I’m really curious about how they’ll give out the Blazikenite this time! It seems like it might be different than how they’ve distributed other Mega Stones. But honestly, I’m hoping it won’t be a one-time thing, and that we’ll get another chance to get it later on.

I’m really excited about Pokémon Legends: Z-A! I’ve been looking into how to get Mega Sceptile, Mega Swampert, and Mega Baxcalibur, and I also want to know how to catch Mewtwo. It looks like there’s a lot to discover!
