Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC now features new Mega Evolution Pokémon, including both Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y. You’ll get the Mega Stones needed for both forms at the same time.
The Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A will introduce a variety of new and previously seen Mega Evolution Pokémon, and the Alolan and Kantonian forms of Raichu are the first to be announced.
Okay, so you can’t just stumble across Mega Raichu X and Y while playing the main game, but thankfully, TopMob knows all the secrets! They’ve got a guide that’ll take you right to where you need to go to get both of them – it’s a lifesaver for a Raichu fan like me!
How to Get Mega Raichu X & Mega Raichu Y in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Okay, so I finally figured out how to get both Mega Raichu forms in the Pokémon Legends: Z-A DLC! You have to beat them in a double battle. It’s a side quest you can find in Hyperspace Lumiose, which was a little tricky to locate, but totally worth it!
You’ll need to complete a previous side quest – trading for an Alolan Raichu – before this one unlocks. If you haven’t done that yet, it’s simple to find! The NPC who does the trade is located right outside the Quasartico Inc. building and is easy to recognize, as she has an Alolan Raichu with her.
After you finish your current task, a new mission will become available just north of Lumiose City, close to both the Lumiose Museum and the Rouge Pokémon Center.
Go to the Hyperspace Distortion and go inside. Look around until you see two characters who aren’t players, along with two Raichu – one of them should be the person you traded with earlier. This area is just for this side quest, so you don’t need to worry about battling other Pokémon or doing anything else.
Start a side mission called ‘The Dauntless Raichu Duo’ by talking to the characters in the game. This mission involves a double battle against two Raichu, and the challenge is that you’ll have to fight both of their Mega Evolved forms with just one Pokémon.
After you win the battle and defeat both Mega Raichu, the trainers will reward you with Mega Stones for each of their Mega Evolution forms.
