Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC is full of hidden secrets, and figuring out how to get Mega Zeraora was one of the hardest challenges – but players have finally discovered the solution.
Although Mega Zeraora was one of the first new Mega Evolutions shown for the downloadable content, it isn’t part of the main game’s story. You’ll only be able to get it after you’ve finished the main story, and even then, it takes effort to find this rare Pokémon.
If you’re searching high and low for Zeraora with no luck, TopMob has all the details you need.
Where to Find Mega Zeraora in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Finding Mega Zeraora in Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a challenging process with multiple steps, and it ends with a very difficult boss fight.
Once you’ve finished the main story of the Mega Dimension DLC and battled Rayquaza, go to Racine Construction and talk to Terragon to buy Canari Bread. Next, go to Vert Sector 3 and find the child nearby to trade the Canari Bread for Popping Candy. You can see the exact spot on the image above.
Now that you have the Popping Candy, go back to Ansha at Hotel Z to make the special donut. Here’s the recipe, originally shared by MonkeyKingHero on YouTube.
- 3x Hyper Roseli Berry
- 3x Hyper Babiri Berry
- 1x Hyper Citrus Berry
- 1x Hyper Haban Berry
Okay, so I finally got the Plasma Glazed Donut, and that means I can open the portal to find Zeraora! It’s super easy to get to – just head to the area directly across from the Gare de Lumiose. You can either fast travel right to Gare de Lumiose, or if you prefer, fast travel to the Vert Pokémon Center and walk from there. It’s really convenient!
You’re not finished yet! You still have to beat Rogue Mega Zeraora. And unlike other battles against Rogue Mega Evolutions, if you lose, you’ll have to start the entire fight over from the beginning.
How to Beat Rogue Mega Zeraora in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Mega Zeraora is an Electric-type Pokémon, which means it’s vulnerable to Ground-type attacks. Pokémon like Zygarde can be very effective against it in battle.
Mega Zeraora doesn’t have any type immunities, but it’s strong against Electric, Flying, and Steel attacks. Everything else will hit it normally. Keep in mind that Flying and Water-type Pokémon are weak against Mega Zeraora, so it’s best not to use them in a fight.
Besides Zygarde, strong Ground-type Pokémon that can Mega Evolve – like Camerupt, Excadrill, Garchomp, Steelix, and Golurk – are also good choices. Just make sure they know Ground-type moves!
