How to Get Money in Mewgenics

In Mewgenics, like many games and in real life, money is essential. Having enough coins makes the game much easier, letting you buy items to strengthen your cats, teach them new skills, and improve their attacks. You can also use money to upgrade your house and buy food for your growing cat army. This guide will show you how to earn more coins in Mewgenics, helping you succeed and progress further in the game.

How to Get Money in Mewgenics

You can earn money in a few different ways: by finding it on the battlefield, succeeding in random events, using the Pickpocket skill, and winning battles. I’ll go into more detail about each of these methods below.

Picking Up Coins on the Battlefield

During battles, you’ll often find coins scattered across the ground. These appear randomly on different squares, and your cats can collect them simply by moving onto the same square.

Finding each coin only increases your total by one, but these small gains can really add up, making it worthwhile to collect them whenever you have a moment during battle.

Your cat needs to finish moving onto the square containing the coins to collect them. Simply passing through the square won’t work – it has to end its turn there.

Chance Encounters

Sometimes, unexpected situations will pop up, and you’ll need to choose what your cat does. These choices are based on your cat’s skills – the higher a skill related to an action, the better chance your cat has of succeeding. The game usually gives you a clue about the best choice in the picture on the screen, so keep an eye on it!

When you come across these unexpected events, the rewards vary. You might find cat food, useful items, be challenged to a fight, or even earn some coins.

Use the ‘Pickpocket’ Ability

If you’re playing as the Thief class in Mewgenics, your cat can learn the ‘Pickpocket’ ability. This lets them steal 1 to 3 coins from an enemy and also slightly weakens them. It’s not a powerful attack, but it’s useful for earning extra money before a boss fight, since the shop always appears right beforehand.

Complete Battles

You’ll get coins every time you win a battle. The harder the battle, the more coins you’ll earn.

You’ll get more coins for defeating harder enemies and bosses, but earlier battles in a run usually give you fewer coins.

You only keep any money or items you earn if you complete a run successfully. If your cats all die and you fail, everything you collected during that run will be lost.
