How To Get Non-Able Spirit In Black Myth: Wukong

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of boss battles that would make even the bravest of warriors tremble with fear. Yet, none has left me as intrigued and excited as the enigmatic Non-Able in Black Myth: Wukong. This elusive foe, hidden away in the Valley of Ecstasy, is a true testament to the game’s meticulous design and attention to detail.

Black Myth: Wukong has made a significant impact in the gaming industry, offering players countless exhilarating boss fights. These formidable foes can be found scattered throughout the game, appearing between sanctuaries, at the conclusion of chapters, and concealed within hidden locations that require specific conditions to unlock.

Additionally, some Non-Ables may be discovered hidden in various corners throughout each map within the chapters. To locate these elusive characters, players might need to venture away from the main paths. Fortunately, there are numerous guiding marks that can facilitate the search process.

How To Find Non-Able In Black Myth: Wukong

Initially, Black Myth: Wukong gamers must advance through Chapter 3 until they arrive at the Valley of Bliss. They’ll know they’ve arrived when the location’s name displays centrally on the screen, a moment that happens while they glide down a snow-covered incline. Upon touching the bottom, a trail of fireflies will guide them to the Sanctum of Joy in the Forest of Felicity. Players will spot a pathway they can traverse that leads to an archway, which initiates the Fox Quest. At this juncture, players should make a sharp right turn and follow the path that descends, eventually reaching a bridge.

After crossing the bridge, you’ll come across a small shrine slightly to your left, known as the “Brook of Bliss” shrine. Interact with it to add it to your collection of shrines. To the right of this shrine, there are some stairs you can climb. Then, turn left to find a path leading upward. As you ascend, you’ll notice a building ahead. In the open area in front of it, you’ll see Non-Able kneeling down.

Preparation

The Non-Able goes through two stages, with the initial one being less challenging. Players may find it beneficial to have the Wandering Wight spirit for its passive defense and high damage active ability. The Guangzhi boss is an optional encounter that grants players the Red Tides transformation early in their journey, offering a significant advantage during this battle. Additionally, another transformative power can be obtained once players finish Chen Loong’s quest, defeat the blacksmith, and reach the zodiac village.

In terms of Armor, players should use whichever can provide them with the highest defense, rather than relying on the other benefits they provide. Players will want to mitigate damage and be able to heal back up with their gourd when low on health. Gamers will also want to put a lot of their points into their Pluck of Many so it can deal out the most damage possible for this fight. It’s also a good idea to apply any medicines the player may wish before approaching Non-Able – preferably ones that will increase damage dealt and reduce damage received.

Non-Able First Form

Since the encounter with Non-Abel isn’t mandatory, players might find themselves battling him at various stages of their progression. Those who engage him earlier may need sufficient mana for a one-time application of both Immobilize and Pluck of Many, but it’s best to conserve these abilities for the second phase.

Before launching an assault that could inflict significant damage with each strike, Non-Able will signal his intention ahead of time. Since players have a sanctuary nearby during this battle, initial attempts don’t necessarily need to be treated with utmost seriousness. Instead, they can use these warnings to dodge as many attacks as possible before the second phase, thereby conserving their gourd by minimizing the number of hits taken.

Non-Abel Second Form

When Non-Able’s health gauge is completely drained, he transitions into his second phase, sporting a fresh health bar. In this stage, he moves quicker, demonstrates greater agility, and poses more challenges due to an expanded repertoire of attacks. Therefore, it’s advisable to conserve your resources for this part of the encounter. He boasts swift initial strikes, and his subsequent attacks can generate projectiles that players should aim to dodge to evade heavy damage and knockback. Players can acquire the “Wind Tamer” vessel in Chapter 2, which proves helpful in dealing with him, while those who have finished Chapter 5 are recommended to use the “Plantain Fan” vessel.

At times, when Non-Able stands still for a while due to players being far away, they will have the opportunity to execute the “Many Spell Pluck”. Once his clones gain independence, players are likely to charge towards Non-Able and cast “Immobilize” spell. Following this, the Wandering Wight’s headbutt attack can be triggered by using their spirit ability. Afterward, players can transform themselves and continuously assault Non-Able.

With the added damage from their clones and spirit, players should be able to conquer the boss before their transformation expires. In case they transform back, conserving energy for evasion during Non-Able’s combos and movements would be wise. It is advisable to strike him when his fist impacts the ground or following an attack where he holds still – these are moments of vulnerability. Although his combos can seem complex, many will culminate in a ground slam or a pause before resuming a neutral stance.

Non-Able Rewards

Once the battle with Non-Able is over, players will be rewarded with the following items:

  • Blood of the Iron Bull material
  • spirit

Players are free to choose the material for growing preferred spirits, whereas acquiring non-preferred spirits triggers a series of attacks against enemies upon activation. Having this spirit equipped offers a minor boost to players’ Attack, Critical Hit Chance, and Critical Hit Damage.

On the other hand, this choice significantly decreases your maximum mana pool, which is not ideal for mana-focused builds as they ought to avoid using it.
