Pokemetal and Rare Pokemetal are important resources in Pokemon Pokopia. You’ll use regular Pokemetal to build things like storage boxes, and both types are needed to create items with the 3D Printer. While you mainly get them by melting fragments in a Furnace, there are other ways to obtain Pokemetal and Rare Pokemetal in Pokemon Pokopia. Here’s a breakdown of all the methods, along with helpful tips for finding and collecting these materials.
How to Get Pokemetal in Pokopia
You get Pokemetal in Pokopia from:
- Converting Pokemetal Fragments in a Furnace
- Trading with a Pokemon
- Purchasing from the PC shop
- Item pick-ups in the wild
How to Get Pokemetal Fragments
Okay, so in Pokopia, I’ve figured out how to get Pokemetal Fragments. Basically, I need to break these colorful Pokemetal Blocks, but I have to use a powered-up Rock Smash. The cool thing is, I can boost Rock Smash just by eating a hamburger! Any kind of hamburger steak meal works – whether it’s a fancy Tomato Hamburger Steak or just a Simple one. It’s a pretty sweet trade, honestly!
You can find plenty of Pokemetal Blocks on Dragonite’s Dream Island in Pokopia, but they also appear on other Dream Islands, in the Sparkling Skylands, and in mines within the Withered Wasteland and Rocky Ridges. Generally, any mine location has a chance to yield Pokemetal Blocks.
In Pokopia, Graveler’s Rollout is a fast way to destroy Pokemetal Blocks, but only if you’ve first eaten a hamburger steak to power up its Rock Smash. Without that boost, Rollout won’t be strong enough to break through the tough Pokemetal Blocks.
How to Get Rare Pokemetal in Pokopia
You get Rare Pokemetal in Pokopia from:
- Converting Rare Pokemetal Fragments in a Furnace
- Trading with a Pokemon
- Purchasing from the PC shop
- Item pick-ups in the wild
Getting Rare Pokemetal works the same way as getting regular Pokemetal, it’s simply much more difficult to find.
How to Get Rare Pokemetal Fragments
You get Rare Pokemetal Fragments by breaking colorful Pokemetal Blocks in Pokopia, but they’re quite rare. Each block you destroy only has a small chance of dropping them – most of the time, you’ll get regular Pokemetal Fragments instead. To collect a good amount of Rare Pokemetal, you’ll need to break a lot of these blocks.
To improve your chances of discovering Rare Pokemetal and its Fragments, feed Mosslax high-quality food with a bitter taste. First, you’ll need to finish the “Brighten Things Up” Important Request in Pokopia, which unlocks the feeding feature.
What is Pokemetal and Rare Pokemetal Used for in Pokopia?
So, in Pokopia, you use this stuff called Pokemetal for pretty much everything – building storage, making furniture, the works. There’s also Rare Pokemetal, but that’s mostly for crafting the Clear Bell and Tidal Bell, which let you summon a couple of legendary Pokemon. But honestly, the real use for both kinds of Pokemetal is at the 3D Printer. You can take a picture of almost any item in the game and recreate it! Simple stuff only needs regular Pokemetal, but if you’re trying to copy something really complex, you’ll need to shell out the Rare Pokemetal.
