In Destiny 2: Renegades, each class – Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks – gets a brand new piece of Exotic Armor. These armors are exciting to use and offer many different options for customizing your character and playstyle in the endgame. However, you’ll need to progress far into the campaign before you can obtain them.
To unlock the Renegades Exotic Armor in Destiny 2, you’ll need the Destiny 2: Renegades expansion and must finish the main story first. We’ll show you how to get each piece of Exotic Armor and explain what it does, so you can decide if it’s worth the effort.
How to Get the New Exotic Armor in Destiny 2 Renegades
There are only two ways in which you can get the new Exotic Armor in Destiny 2: Renegades:
- Completing the Renegades Campaign on Legendary Difficulty will reward you with Powerful Gear at the Tharsis Cantina, which contains the Renegades Exotic Armor for your Class. This will need to be repeated with your other Classes.
- Obtain an Exotic Keycard from bonus objective chests while playing the Lawless Frontier. With a Keycard, venture to the location named on the keycard (in the Lawless Frontier) and locate the hidden room. Within this room, one of the chests will provide a new Exotic.
So, once I finally get my hands on an Exotic Armor piece, I can go see Master Rahool in the Tower. He can do something called Focused Decoding, which basically lets me get a new version of that armor with totally different stat rolls – it’s awesome for trying to get the perfect build!
How to Get Praxic Vestment & How it Works in Destiny 2
Praxic Vestment is a new Exotic chest armor for Titans in Destiny 2: Renegades. You can earn it by finishing the Renegades campaign on the Legendary difficulty as a Titan, or by opening a chest in the Lawless Frontier using an Exotic Keycard.
Praxic Vestment is a solid, but not top-tier, Exotic armor piece for Titans when playing PvE. It essentially gives you a jetpack in Destiny 2, which you power up by defeating enemies with weapons or Arc-powered melee attacks. This jetpack lets you quickly fly forward, and crashing into enemies creates a blinding explosion and boosts your melee ability. While it’s enjoyable to use, it’s not the most effective choice for challenging encounters with lots of enemies, and it doesn’t significantly increase your damage output.
How to Get Deimosuffusion & How it Works in Destiny 2
Okay, so I just found out about this new Warlock Exotic helmet, Deimosuffusion, in Destiny 2: Renegades. It’s a bit of a grind to get, honestly. You either have to finish the Renegades campaign on Legendary difficulty as a Warlock, or you need an Exotic Keycard and hope you get it from one of those chests in the Lawless Frontier. Pretty standard, I guess, but definitely a challenge!
Deimosuffusion is a powerful Exotic armor piece for Warlocks when playing PvE (player versus environment) content. It works best with the Strand subclass and its Super ability. When you cast a Rift with Deimosuffusion equipped, enemies nearby will be suspended in the air. This suspension deals damage over time to them, while simultaneously healing you and your teammates. Enemies that break free from the suspension take extra damage, and defeating suspended enemies provides even more healing. This makes it particularly useful for clearing out large groups of enemies.
How to Get Fortune’s Favor & How it Works in Destiny 2
Fortune’s Favor is a new set of Exotic leg armor for the Hunter class in Destiny 2: Renegades. You can earn it by finishing the Renegades campaign on the Legendary difficulty as a Hunter, or by opening a special chest in the Lawless Frontier using an Exotic Keycard.
For Hunters in PvE, Fortune’s Favor is a top-tier Exotic armor piece. It lets you quickly gain an overshield – either after 5 seconds of not taking damage, or by finishing an enemy while at full health. This works especially well with weapons that heal you, as you can use them to trigger the overshield and become more durable. Fortune’s Favor is excellent for fighting multiple enemies at once, and while the overshield is active, your weapons become more accurate, stable, easier to handle, and deal about 20% more damage.
